Do you think Empire star Jussie Smollett is a victim of a hate crime, or is it a false flag?

Lol the story of how this supposedly went down is utterly ridiculous and unbelievable. Bet he feels pretty dumb now.

“Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was “officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation” by authorities on Wednesday for allegedly “filing a false police report” in connection with his attack claims, Chicago police said.

Case Update: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by #ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report (Class 4 felony). Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury.

I’m hoping that’s only an initial charge to indict him. They had better add more afterwards. The consequences of him getting away with this could have ruined lives. Thankfully, he’s only ruined his own, but he’ll barely get a slap on the wrist if they only charge him with filing a false police report. I’ll hold off until the full indictment comes out, but it’s starting to reek of powerful people trying to lessen the severity of this thing behind the scenes.

Jussie now charged with "disorderly conduct"... very strange charge given the circumstances. Is the fix in, boys? Has Jussie's connections higher up looking after him here?

"unruly behavior constituting a minor offense."

Disorderly conduct charges usually involve unruly conduct such as:

  • Being drunk in public
  • Loitering in certain areas (such as on a street corner or in front of a store)
  • Disturbing the peace
  • Provoking other persons in a threatening manner
  • Behaving in an overall disruptive manner
Disorderly conduct charges can often result in criminal penalties in most U.S. jurisdictions. Some jurisdictions may use file disorderly conduct charges as a “catch-all” crime for prosecuting persons whose behavior has generally been disruptive.

So

It's ok to report people. That helps us out. The reports are important though. If someone posts porn, pips someone, makes racist comments...send them our war. I just don't like the hypocrisy of people who are talking trash in here (which is ok within reason) and pounding the report button.

Why don't we also give them the act of redemption. If they are blessed as they become saturated through The Nexus they can have their accounts back because now they would have been ordained by the genesis of everything.

Awesome.

Can't wait to see what he'll be doing after prison. His acting/singing career is shot dead, and its doubtful he'll even be able to get a regular job even if his ego allowed him to try.
Well, R Kelly is still singing and making money. Who knows?

This tweet says "Felony" disorderly conduct.

I hope this guy sees some jail time for making this up. What an idiot.

So he's currently a suspect for a class 4 felony: falsifying a police report. Can face up to a maximum of 3 yrs in prison.

Never heard of that.

I never did either. Apparently it exists.

What Is Felony Disorderly Conduct?
On the other hand, some types of disorderly conduct cases can result in serious felony charges. These may include disruptive behavior that:

  • Is conducted at an airport
  • Is conducted during or near a funeral
  • Involves a weapon (especially reckless handling of a deadly weapon)
For instance, if a person is in a crowded place and discharges a gun into the air, they could be found guilty of felony disorderly conduct. Another example is during a road rage incident, where the defendant waved a gun at another driver while on the road. In such cases, the felony charges may result even if no person was hurt. If the defendant points the gun directly at a person with the intent to intimidate them, the charges may escalate to aggravated assault charges.

What Are the Penalties for Felony Disorderly Conduct?
Penalties may vary by state, but they usually involve a minimum of 1.5 years in prison, as well as some criminal fines. Prison sentences can increase depending on the seriousness of the threat. They can also increase if the person already has a prior disorderly conduct charge on their record.

I haven’t read them but I’m sure I’ve been beaten up pretty good in this thread with the revelation that this guy Smollett orchestrated this attack on himself. I was clearly wrong and rushed to judgment too quickly as did many others. As does almost everyone on this forum regarding different things.

It’s cool to be wrong and just came in to own up to it.

You think he's the only Trump Deranged lunatic? In Hollywood!
I won't be the least bit surprised if he makes a comeback at some point.
The left has taken a tremendous wallop of late, I wonder if some will see they have been duped and how much so. It's almost a variation of false news.
