Emmett vs Yair interim title

How do you guys see this one playing out? Josh Emmett is one of my favorite fighters however it’s clear that age and catastrophic injuries have somewhat nullified his explosive power.
When he was murking opponents left and right until blowing out his knee against Shane Burgos, he’s not finished a fight in his last three wins. However, I believe if he comes in with a wrestling dominant game plan he could earn a comfortable decision, as Yairs takedown defense has always been questionable.

It's going to be a war for sure, I think Yair will win most of the fight on the feet with Emmett trying to caught Yair with the perfect shot, it's going to be a fast paced war for sure.

He would’ve flatlined Burgos if he didn’t suffer the MCL tear within 20 seconds of the fight, and Shane has a granite chin. Glad a guy like this is the getting the opportunity when he’s not a very marketable personality.

If Emmett uses his wrestling or at least threatens to shoot it could become interesting, otherwise he hasn't one shotted anyone in a while and arguably lost to Kattar. In a stand and bang fight think Yair would be a heavy favourite and would expect him to get the win via a decision.

He's gotta come with heavy pressure and mix in his wrestling. If he's staying on the outside Yair will kick all day and land due to his high versatility in strikes.

For Yair, he can't get trapped or walked down obv. Gotta establish his own power early on.

Personally I think Arnold Allen and Movsar Evloev beat both, Ilia Topuria maybe too but I'm less confident in that.

If Emmett chooses to make wrestling part of his game plan and doesn't begin to age overnight on us (he's 37) I think he will win. If he just stands and trades for most of the fight it'll be tough and he will probably have to rely on hurting Yair to win rounds or need a knockout.
