hes the definition of a glass cannon but his power was insane and easily his best attribute

- One shot KOd Pele so badly seconds into the fight that he started vomiting
- Dropped and nearly KOd Condit if not for a clutch knee to the body that stifled followup, hurt him multiple times and more than anyone ever with Carlos arguably having the GOAT chin @ WW, arguably the only guy to 10-8 Carlos
- KOd Shields unconscious and had him wrestling with the ref (same Shields a couple fights ago who took 2 H Bombs to the dome and was dropped, yet came back to 10-8 Hendo and dominate the rest of the fight)
- KOd Marquardt dead
- dropped and nearly KOd Kampmann on the 1st exchange
- dropped Wonderboy and made him go stiff for a moment
- hurt Tarec multiple times badly where his movement completely froze
- hurt Kelvin in the 1st minute
- KOd Piearson and Pyle
- had a choke so deep on Kos he was spurting froth
- 1st guy to finish Brown with sturikes, dropped him twice in 1:40 of fight time and is the only guy whos dropped him with a punch to the chin (others have been to his glass body). And the punch was literally on the 1st exchange like Kampmann fight

Yes he was/is very explosive.

Big Rigg, Alves and Rumble also come to mind.

very exciting fighter in his prime for sure

Edmond Tarverdyan is 3 for 3; not counting the Four Horsewomen

he would have given gsp a tough fight for sure, sucks kampmann derailed his title shot

Damn, great OP. Completely forgot about his highlights, what a fantastic run. Shame he declined so rapidly.

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought he was losing fights well before USADA

Jake was destined to be one of the all time greats in soccer after KO'ing Pele and running away with the ball.

I'm just gonna go ahead and drop this in here.

Anthony Rumble Johnson.

In all sincerity, Edmond had a lot to do with his downfall, not USADA.

The Kampmann loss was his first disappointing loss but he rebounded big time from that with strong wins including the KO on Marquardt. His chin was still there and he just had some issues to work out with his cardio.

He then lost the fight to Rory (who is a TOP fighter) and went straight to work with Edmond. He decides to box Robbie Lawler and the rest of his career was a fucking disaster from this point onwards.

If he went to AKA for example he would have become the true monster he was destined to be.

People forget how destructive this guy was in his prime.

Dude deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame of glass cannons, with Overeem, Manhoef, Palhares and Arlovski.

Youre right but youre gonna be trolled

jake beat condit imo. im happy the gave the nod to carlos but i still dont agree with that call

He used to be an absolute monster.

Before Hendricks KO'd Fitch he was the wrestling powerhouse with the most dangerous punch in the division. The scariest prospect/contender.

He really had a downfall. If Edmond really was the reason no fighter should train with him again.

But I also think that the Kampmann loss took a part off him.

Remind me when Ellenberger won and defended the belt.
