I have a gazelle eliptical and was wondering if it was any good for workouts? if you have one how long do you usually go on it?

I wouldn't be caught dead using one of those things.

Thank god for my running shoes and jump rope.

lol i found it in my moms room a couple days ago, and thought id give it another try

Anything you accomplish on that you would accomplish more efficiently with a good run, push ups, and body weight jump squats. I mean faster, better, and less Tony Little looking. Some things were not meant to be easy, working out falls into this category.

The mantra going thru the general public right now is "elipticals are good cause they don't stress the joints"...I've never tried one, but thats what alot of my clients wnat to train on for that above reason. I don't know how true it is...

I use/used mine for rehab on my foot, which I could not have gotten from anything else. (long story)

Like others have said, you can get a better workout by doing sprints and such.

But it has it uses.

Also depends if you use a high resistance or if it has the incline options, IMO. I think you can get a decent workout on one, but if it's "fun or easy", you probably aren't using the right resistance or trying hard enough.

i sadly had to use one when i couldnt run because of shin splints, its an ok work out but running is better
