that ground and pound...
When ever ppl say unorthodox fighter i always thought of Keith Jardine, Now i Think of Elias. Its the old way of saying the fighter is shit.
the dude does some silly looking things but hes hitting the guy and the other guy isn't destroying him. to me its more impressive to look silly vs a game opponent and get away with it
Exciting as always
I don’t think I’ve ever been as happy when a fighter got cut
Yeah that seems over simplistic, but it has actually worked when I've seen his opponents try it. He is hardly a counter-master from what I've seen in my opinion.
Yep, dude has no hands and his kicks are super telegraphed, it shouldn’t be that hard to come at him
When people did “take it” to him and no one REALLY did, he lost those fights, confusing to me why anyone would just stand at kicking range and play that stupid game
I give him credit for making the fights weirdly close and persuading the judges of his offense, but yeah... it is a bit of an anomaly. His takedowns aren't much of a threat and his firepower just isn't there. He has a style that is incredibly exhausting (I can say from experience sparring), but it hasn't proven very fruitful. It's almost as if he hypnotizes his opponents or something. When Eryk Anders fought him (a fight I felt Anders won narrowly), Anders had success nearly every time he blitzed him and didn't really seem any worse for the wear in doing so. I try not to sound like an armchair coach, but sometimes you see something that just puzzles you, such as this case...
styles win fights?
even jankyass, marionette on meth, and and out of consciousness styles i suppose.
He must have trained with Edmund at some point
This guy is horrible......just an amature on all levels
Honestly, I know Elias was dull and all that, but in that GIF I see Elias trying to fight while the other guy just backs away and turtles and is trying to run the clock.
In this particular fight the nonsense is not Elias' fault, at least not from what I see in the GIF.
Fabio is still at it, huh?
i did the pre fight interviews for that event. He is honestly the nicest guy!
Elias is a stud, i want him to cum inside of me
Dana was so unfair Elias wasn't knocked out. So unfair treatment!
Elias movement always looks like he is fighting drunk...and is just play-fighting with a friend...but just in a real fight...
LOL. Elias triggers so many people.
He won that fight via TKO. I can't make gifs right now but there are a lot of beautiful techniques there.
BTW. The dude comes from being a ranked MW in the UFC to being the co-main in a random canadian regional show.
I give him credit for pretty good distance and timing management; always being a moving target while having the ability to react from awkward positions and different stances; pretty good clinch and especially at how and when engage/dissengage; excellent conditioning, ability to take a punch, ability to stick to the gameplan; and pretty solid wrestling.
Said that, he is in a pretty shallow division and still dont even consider him top 25 MW worlwide
Elias's elite level GnP puts these old fighters in their place..
