Elias Theodorou breaks silence on release

holy fucking shit, he must be a student of the Master Crazy Locs Ea$t $ide $an Jo#e dojo

if zelenoff got that crazy chin by being a bit retard, this guy must be straight bulletproof
<mma4>

He won this fight against Brunson and did nothing at all that could hurt another human being.

Check out this hammer fist to the neck:

No he lost this fight and rightfully so. I imagine him saying " take that, and that" in his own head while fighting.

That hammer fist is an instant classic.

ha, you're right. I even watched the fight, and it was pretty recent but I just couldn't remember.

“I don’t want to burn bridges but they fired me because they’re cheap and they can pay 7 new fighters the same total amount they paid me for one”

After an extended stint at the famed Tristar Gym in Montreal, Theodorou said he’ll be traveling to different gyms to add tools to his arsenal that make him a more exciting fighter. He doesn’t rule out a return to the UFC. He just has a better idea of what’s required of him to stay under contract, and it’s going to take time to evolve.
Here's a tip, Elias. MMA training is not evolved. MMA training is stuck in rut.

So +1 for trying out differing camps, differing orgs. Get a take by a striking specialist like Rose did with 303. Tyron went on to RoufusSport. Same with wrestling or BJJ. Tristar is (was) supposedly good with the latter.

Many, many MMA competitors have improved their skills by moving on, moving around.

Nice record... I'm boring to MMA too.<Deported1>

Lawler sticks out in my mind.

UFC just needed to put him up against a fighter that would have beaten the living shit of out him

THEN release him

An outspoken stance as an advocate for what Theodorou calls “medical” equality put at times put him at odds with the UFC’s anti-doping partner, U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), which declined to grant him a therapeutic-use exemption to use medical marijuana in-competition for neurological pain his extremities. But he didn’t link his quest to receive an exemption with his release.
perhaps fighting isnt the career for you when you require an herbal intoxicant to alleviate "neurological pain". This guy was born to be a yoga teacher for bored housewives.

Why not match him against some killers, or wait, there are not?. By the way, he running/jogging resembles Carlos Condit who the ufc loved so much

If you can't discern the difference between Theodoru and Condit, you don't know a damn thing about MMA. Condit ran to keep distance from Nick Diaz and bested him in a controversial decision that Diaz fans never fully recovered from. However, considering his career as a whole, the guy finished 28 of his thirty wins, with 13 coming by submission, with wins coming by at least six distinct types of submission, and 10 coming by TKO and 5 via KO.

So while I sympathize with complaints against Condit's performance against Diaz, remember that was one of only two decision wins in his entire, lengthy career. Don't compare a badass like Condit to Theodoru, even in jest.

ha, you're right. I even watched the fight, and it was pretty recent but I just couldn't remember.
Probably cause your brain decided that it wasn't important enough to waste memory on, I was pretty sure Brunson had won but I had to check Wiki just to be sure.

I think that is what they tried to do but Elias is so bad or maybe good that he totally stifled Brunson's game.

He had a lot to say
He had a lot of nothing to say
We'll miss him
We'll miss him
He had a lot to say
He had a lot of nothing to say
We'll miss him
We'll miss him
We're gonna miss him
We're gonna miss him
So long
We wish you well
You told us how you weren't afraid to die
Well, so long
Don't cry
Or feel too down
Not all martyrs see divinity
But at least you tried

He had a lot to say
He had a lot of nothing to say
We'll miss him
We'll miss him
He had a lot to say
He had a lot of nothing to say
We'll miss him
We'll miss him
We're gonna miss him
We're gonna miss him
So long
We wish you well
You told us how you weren't afraid to die
Well, so long
Don't cry
Or feel too down
Not all martyrs see divinity
But at least you tried
That's a nice eulogy
