They're beastly. I went to this Elephant Village in Thailand and was just feeding a smaller, baby elephant and I was basically at its mercy. That thing could've torn my arm out of its socket no questions asked. Reminded me of this time I got into an elevator with a black guy. And this baby elephant was about 4ft tall - the other elephants there were like 5 stories high. Honestly doubt a hand grenade would stop them. You'd need some Nazi-level firepower

Same opinion here. It really depends where the grenade would hit it, but it would certainly get severely injured and eventually die of its injuries, but just how long it would take to die would depend on where and how it was hit.
