I wouldn't put money on either guy. It's possible Jones could take Chuck down and elbow him but it's also very possible Chuck KTFO Jones. Chuck had much more deadly stand-up. Jones can't finish Chuck on the feet and he might have trouble keeping Chuck down. Chuck was a D1 wrestler and was known for a great sprawl and was great at popping right back up when taken down. Jones might be forced to stand with him

Jones has demonstrated in his career an iron jaw.. He is not getting knocked out in that fight. Not happening. He would clinch with him and tire him out on the fence, hit him with Oblique kicks, take him down and beat him up on the ground, pretty much do whatever the hell he wanted.

No. That is Chuck way past his prime. Go watch Chuck from 2000 to 2006. Those were his best years. Jon's best years were probably 2011 to 2015. Unfortunately though, everyone Jones beat was either much older or much smaller or both. He really hit the division at the perfect time, when everyone was declining due to countless wars and mileage.

He still has 2 TKO losses during that period to Randy and Rampage and only a few noteworthy names during that time and quite a few rematches. Chuck was good for his era, not the best but good. That era was exciting to watch but the fighters weren't the most well rounded.

Nobody in the history of the sport has a resume that is better than that. I’m sorry but they don’t. You can argue maybe one or two guys are equal to it, but nobody is better than that. Rewriting history is fine however it is usually being re-written by people simply trolling or just clueless. I don’t have to go any farther than this. DC is being discussed as maybe the best of all time right now. He was dominated by decision once by Jones, and knocked out the other time. That’s all that needs to be said.

Chuck has the advantage on the feet. His hands are so much better. He had KO power in his hands and feet. All Jones would try to do is throw kicks and keep his distance.

Everyone gets KO'ed eventually. Jones is not immune. 40 year old DC sent his mouthpiece flying in the first minute of the fight but Jones was so damn jacked up on Turinabol and the ref temporarily stopped the fight to allow him to put his mouthpiece back in.

Chuck was a D1 wrestler, a pro kickboxer with many KB fights, a purple belt in BJJ. Iron chin and KO power in both hands and feet. He was far more well rounded than all the LHWs today.

Same with Shogun, Wanderlei, Randy, Lil Nog, Rampage. Only 1D guys were guys like Tito and Arona but very few fighters could stop their takedowns, current fighters or yesteryear.

I hate to break this to you but so many of these pride guys were incredibly overrated. They came to the UFC and exposed.. The pride fanboys hate to hear that but it is a fact. I can cite many examples for you. Other than Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson basically all of the pride guys came to UFC and didn’t do all that well. Mediocre to poor. Mirko Was supposed to destroy everyone in the heavyweight division with ease. He got his ass whooped.
