Edson Barboza: "(Tony) Ferguson Deserves Title Shot, Khabib Not Active, Needs More Fights."

He has a point, since his fight with Dos Anjos, Khabib has fought once. Barboza has fought 8 times. Let that sink in. I feel if Khabib had fought 8 people, he would have lost by now.

I dont disagree with the logic that khabib should get at least one more fight in,but in that case lets just have Khabib and Ferg fight each other. i aint gonna cry if either one of them gets the next shot thouhgh

 

I would do Barboza-Khabib and Ferguson for the title shot. Its my opinion that the only reason they haven't announced it is because they're waiting on Conor unfortunately.

from a purely selfish standpoint I'd love to see ferguson get the shot, he's become one of my favorite fighters to watch. and I do agree with barboza's logic.

Excellent fighter tho. REALLY FUN to watch. I just think that there will always be someone with a way sicker ground game that'll fuck him up.

 

They should just do Ferguson vs Khabib because you know that the winner of Diaz/McGregor 2 is getting that next shot most likely. And maybe RDA vs Barboza too.

He doesn't deserve it. One of the least active fighters in the UFC and constantly injured. He'll be defending what, once every two years? No thanks.

 

What I learn more and more the older I get, you rarely get what you deserve in this world.

The way to get ahead, if you are not one of the lucky few, who get more than they deserve, is to work way harder than the next guy.

I have 'succeeded' so far by doing four times more than everyone else I know, and for that, my 'success' is probably 1.5 times theirs.

Has it been worth it? Who knows. I hope so.

Maybe the seeds I planted will bear fruit in future if the women in my life don't take it all away.
They probably will, but they certainly don't deserve to.

Am I bitter? Not so much. This is the world we live in and these are the rules.

If you expect to get what you deserve, you are in for a big letdown.

plus personality wise its good too. Ferguson is an intense jumpy kind of insane dude,who is the perferct foil to Khabib's calm demeanor,having fun poking at ferg with a stick with his verbal jabs this whole time.

khabib has just been talking sht and not fighting for a long time - nothing new - but the constant sht talk plus the fact that he beat RDA gets people excited about him - i think when you'r einjured you have to just constantly talk sht to stay relevant - khabib could get ko'd in his next fight and not many people would be surprised - not that khabib isn't a graet talent - you dont have guys like cain velasquez say such nice things about you by coincidence
