Shitty day at the gym. After 2 weeks, 2 work outs and a rough day at work, I was pretty sure my back was all better. So I go in this morning to squat, Warm ups go good and while preparing for my work sets, I put a 45 plate on the bar and have a spasm in my lower back. Same place as the muscle pull. Didn hurt too bad but after walking around a little and doing a few bw squats, I decided to skip the squats. Of course then I'm all head fucked and wind up doing shitty on my bench as well.
Since I work Friday anyway, I think I will put off my next WO till Saturday. Give my back another day.
Anyone have a good "warm up" exercise for squats? I always do them first so that I have plenty of gas but I"m wondering if I shouldnt do something else light weight just to get my lower back loose and warm. Right now I am just doing 5 minutes on the elliptical, trying to stretch and then do a few bw squats, then the SS warm up template.
