Edgar vs. Faber should've happened this past weekend.

Honestly it's been over a week and I'm still hearing about the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight & if the UFC wanted to have had these boxing fans tune into MMA more so. They should have had Edgar vs. Faber this past weekend to show that MMA is more lively than boxing.

These are two warriors who I haven't seen get promoted that much for this fight for some reason. They are both the perennial number 2's in their divisions and are both former champions who've proven time & time again it doesn't matter what size you are, they're so skilled in every facet of MMA that they can easily beat you no matter what you specialize in based on their skill alone.

This has FOTY written all over it and I can't really think of a more competitive match more so than this for the rest of this year.
 
I see Frankie dominating Faber quite handily to a 49-46 UD. I don't see it being a FOTY by any stretch, Edgar will score enough points to beat Faber.
 
I agree. I think this fight isn't getting hyped is because neither of these guys are trash talkers. I don't think I've ever heard Frankie say anything bad about another fighter and the only beef Faber has is with Cruz and still doesn't talk that bad about him. Just says he doesn't like him.
 
I'm a big fan of Frankie and Faber is cool too, but not even they would draw attention away from the Mayweather/Manny fight. I do see it as a potential candidate for FOTY though and it should be promoted better.

it will still be way more exciting than mayweather
 
I can't wait for this one. It's a SUPERFIGHT. both are legends and champions.
 
Some guy already said that Hunt vs Stipe was the fight that would be the forever game changing for the UFC and also would kill boxing even more.

Also the dude in the first preliminary fight would be the most talked about, and we have more threads about the new Connor tattoo than him.

One thing has nothing to do with the other dude, stop with the crazy inter sport theories.

Did you miss Canelo vs Kirkland?

Im a fan of both. Boxing has snoozers, mma does too.
Just like both have barnburners.

FOTY in boxing is just as entertaning as FOTY for MMA, (to me).

That isn't saying much, watching Ben Askren do wrestling drills on a training dummy would be more exciting than a Mayweather fight
