Lets be real

I would love the UFC to swallow Bellator. Some really good fights to be made.

I wouldn't say exactly.

He lacks the combos that Frankie has. His jab is also not as good.

He's good at lunging in but isn't too incredibly fast out of that.

Frankie might not have that explosive in and out ability but has has much better footwork/speed and technique.

Better boxing. Even luck with the judges

Definitely has better offensive. Defensively it's debatable.

But I mean...Alvarez is a boxer first. Edgar is a wrestler who learned to box.

They have very different styles.

Battle of Jersey Shore

I dont think they would fight, they atleast used to be close teammates and Frankie is at 145 now.

Even if that one specific fight isn't made, there are some amazing UFC/Bellator fights that could be made that would be just great.

As someone who boxed. I always thought alvarez is easy to hit. He leans forward a little too much. Maybe it is a wrestling thing.

I'd like to agree.. But i think that Frankie would keep tagging a guy like Michael Chandler all day too.

Don't they train together? I recall seeing Edgar at a Bellator show supporting Alvarez once. I dont' remember what fight it was.

Yeah theyre really good friends as far as i know

Alvarez is really erratic. He was improved in this fight, though. I think that having Pedro Diaz at the Blackzillians gym has made a big difference.

I thought it was mostly so he could slip and counter easier. Which is why he gets hit by so many fucking knees.

Eddie's footwork is very good, but I can't recall any recent fights where Frankie got trapped against the fence the way that Chandler was able to trap Eddie tonight.

If Eddie can work out how to cut angles and get his back off the fence, I'd say he beats Chandler in the rubber match.

He couldn't showcase his best because he knew Chandler was trying for the TDs whenever he could.

Frankie is a more polished version of Eddie Alvarez. Frankie would outbox him, and he would out-wrestle him.

His posture is odd. He leans forward and when he throws heavy punches he would stumble a bit. I think it is due to his front leg being too heavy. To his credit, I think he is fast and he recovers well but in a lot of his fights I seen him get dropped or tagged hard.

That's true.

I notice when he throws punches off his left hand mostly, like his left hooks and uppercuts. He does with his right hand too a bti but he does have a fairly fast straight right he throw crisp.

His style definitely results in excitement though. It works well but has just enough flaws that it leads to some absolute wars.

I thought Chandler looks very intelligent with his striking though. He kept tagging Alvarez as he circled out and those flying knees in rounds 4 and 5 were just perfectly thrown. You could tell he had picked up on Alvarez's stance flaws.
