Eddie Alvarez being sued

Its a shame that its come to this, in plain black and white its a professional fighter, wanting the best for his career and his family and future.
But in between the waters are murky, and nothing is ever in black or white..
Whatever offer bellator match, its tainted and a great fighter like eddie, who most think should be fighting the best on a bigger stage, is being held back, basically for nothing but spite...

...and a contract he eagerly signed. Let's not break out the violins for Eddie just yet

if youre bellator wouldnt you want a working relationship with the ufc? Do business as men. Not children. If Im Bellator I snatch up a bunch of up and comers and if the ufc gets interested offer the ufc to buy out their contract. kinda like with the .com boom how ppl just bought up a bunch of names just to sell them later down the road

Bellator has considerably less PPV buys, precisely they have 0 PPV buys as in they don't do PPV.

Offering a PPV percentage is a very good "poison pill" to get around Bellator matching the UFC's offer.

Wow. Too many of you are gobbling up the "Bellator is evil but we (Zuffa) are angels when it comes to fighters and their contracts." crap DW is pulling here. You gullible chumps.

People here are getting their info from Eddie. They are siding with the fighter and not a promoter.

Well, we all want Eddie in the UFC but he was the one who signed the contract. Bellator and the UFC are still both interested so of course they'll do what they can to keep him.

First Tyson Nam and now Eddie Alvarez.

Michael Chandler is doomed to life in prisonment at the Bellator Super-Max Prison, and when parole comes they will slam the door on his face too.

Not that Zuffa is good guys but this story is about Ballator playing hardball with Eddie (which he should have seen coming). They said they wouldn't because he was good to them and they were friendly blah blah.

Zuffa will go and to the same thing to someone else in the future but this story is all about Bellator.

bellator should just go on about their business before it gets ugly. it seems like they got a decent thing going. dana could end bellator now if he wanted. sucks but true. it's not like eddies the lw champ anyway

That would be smart but Bellator has ambitions to become the #1 MMA org. They won't ever achieve it, but that stops them from wanting to become UFC's minor league.

Almost the same strategy used by the UFC to Randy back when he wanted to fight Fedor in Affliction.

Bellator will just drag this on and on to prevent Alvarez from making it to the big leagues. I doubt if they care at all whether they lose him or not. They just want to give him problems.

Then when he comes to the UFC, with all the problems he went through, he might just lose.

Randy never had any intentions of fighting Fedor he just wanted the media attention and a bigger paycheck out of the UFC.

Shit like this is gonna hurt Bellator in the long run. Especially when they can't bring in new fighters because of their shitty contract negotiation shenanigans.

If you want to fight professionally you don't have an option. Guys will always sign shitty contracts to do what they love. If everyone understood contracts, lawyers and agents wouldn't exist.
