Back in the day I had a few buddies who wrestled some indie house shows, some of them even wrestled for ECW at some point but of course it wasn't televised..

Like they all said the only business dirtier than the wrestling business is the porno industry..

Dirty meaning most guys are raging alcoholics, heroin addicts or addicted to massive amounts of pain killers. And ECW was a group that had a lot of drug addicts and guys who are border line mental patients.


Also a buddy of mine drove the Iron Sheik to a house show in the earlier part of 2000 and he told me the Sheik smoked crack in the car and drank 24 bud cans. Then went out and wrestled a kid..

Got Shit connection right now, but I definitely plan on checking it out tomorrow. My favorite wrestling documentaries are Steve Austin's, and The Rise And Fall Of ECW. 3 hours to lay out the majority of the entire story, as opposed to an 60 to 90 minutes that is the usual runtime of most wrestling documentaries, what seems like a short summary of major events in the wrestling community.

Man, the mid-90s to early 2000s were the best era of wrestling. Period.

WWE buying out WCW and ECW, then going public on the stock market is what killed wrestling.

BTW, my favorite wrestling event of all time was ECW One Night Stand... everything about it was awesome... Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit's last match together... Mike Awesome's last match of his career.. the main event with everyone getting a cameo... for a ECW fan, it was beautiful. The 2nd one a year later was great too, but watered down with WWE talent. But RVD and John Cena was a great match. Gotta gotta give Cena credit for facing the most hostile crowd in wrestling history.
