How much do you guys eat before jiu jitsu? And also how far before class do you eat?

I try to eat a full meal 3 hours before or so. I'm finding lately however that by the end

of class I'm starving. I don't know if my stomach can handle eating like 1.5 hrs-2 hrs before

class. I usually wind up puking for some reason. Anyone have routines that work for them?

Eat a small meal about 2 hours before, and then you can eat a banana before class if you feel hungry.

I eat no less then a hour prior...allows my food to digest.

And I agree, stay away from spicy foods for the meal prior to training....those are best for after training meals

I tend to have something small like a peice of toast before I go and then if i'm still hungry I have a banna on the way - I then eat like a pig when I get back

I eat every 3-5 hrs, to make up to 5meals a day.
But generally do not eat less than 2hrs b4 training.
    Plenty of water.

I find I'm starving sometimes during and after training. I always think it's a good thing, as I wanna stay a heavyweight.

right now i am eating every two hours
    1. can of tuna and mixed nuts
    2. can of salmon and mixed nuts
    3. 6 oz. chicken breast and salad
    then repeat

i am doing this for a long time and i mix in some roasted chicken, sausage, 6 egg whites, turkey sandwich meat, and crab meat for a change, i need to drop some serious lbs, at 263 need to be at 225.

disclaimer *dont try this at home, its not healthy* serious cravings for cakes and pies occur

I also like a small meal about 1 - 2 hours before. Nothing too heavy. Get some High Glycemic shit into yr system after trainng to replenish yr energy stores. Jelly beans and snakes are the shiznits.

I eat about 2 and a half hours before my BJJ class and I don't eat a lot of dairy products on my BJJ days because my stomach seems to feel heavy if I have a lot of dairy products.

some of you guys have serious digestionproblems..
if you eat veggies and fruits, an hour is enough. If you eat meat, fish or anything that is a little harder to digest, an hour and a half or two hours is probably a decent ballpark area. Acai 10 min before is a must tho if you have access to it ;)

I have a meal at least 4 hours before training and nothing too heavy. I have often done the mistake of coming to practise having just eaten and it sucks. Not only do I feel heavier, but a knee on belly or some dude locking the figure 4 while in my back would make me puke.
