If you do not have Fight Pass and only want to watch the Contender Series, a summer Season Pass is currently being sold by the UFC for a discounted $10.99 here, it gives you ~10 weeks of FP.

For those of you new to the series, every Tuesday from June 12th until August 7th, with July 3rd off, top prospects and former UFC fighters will compete on a five-fight card with the opportunity to win a UFC contract. Some events, only one winner gets a contract, and others, multiple fighters are awarded that elusive contract.

what happened to nick newell?
He's fighting on the July 24th CS card.

And Antonina Shevchenko, Valentina Shevchenko's sister, is slated to fight next week, but her opponent fell through and they are looking for a short-notice replacement.

Always pumped to see Spann fight, dude is an athletic specimen and I still think he could do big things if he keeps on improving. Was gutted when he got finished by Roberson, but he's bounced back nicely and should have an easy time with Sordi on the mat.

Any good ones on this card?

Well I wondered about it before, and I was right:

https://mma-today.com/tuesday-night-contenders-wont-usada-testing

So any fighters here you get excited about, like Greg Hardy? Not being tested (not real testing, anyway)

They'd need to be under USADA six months before they join the UFC, and who knows which ones will look the same after that.

Ah well, we can hope that some of the good ones will be clean and make the move seamlessly.

No, they dont need to do six months under usada. Ive no idea where you are getting that from. They are no different to any other new signing to the UFC, 1 month in the testing pool unless they are a short notice replacement.

(and of course USADA wouldnt be testing DWCS, its not the UFC, they dont have any agreement to do testing for them)

And DWCS like most other independant promotions falls under commission jurisdiction in this case Nevada. So Nevada handle the drug testing. You may remember NSAC caught one guy on the contender series last year (IV Use

Just finished work in time.

Got my beer. Let's do this.

Going with Spann to get the contract tonight... MMA is killing it this week. TNC… PFL....then Fight Night!!!

Yazan fought in an orginazation that has a square cage?

Huh. Haven't seen that since Travis Lutter slam-KO'd that guy and damaged his spine in the process back in the 90's.

I remember reading about the Beverly Hill Ninjas a long while back. Didn't he have a prospect-watch on Sherdog or something?
