QUICK TAPE!

Bailey Schoenfelder vs Danylo Voievodkin

Bailey Schoenfelder is a lean heavyweight. He’s also kinda slow, strangely, though I suppose his handspeed is okay. Decent TDD. Good athleticism.

Danylo Voievodkin has fought some real cans, man, some absolute crap, and there’s more Karate footage of him than there is MMA. In Karate, he’s more of a 50-50 fighter from what I saw. Nothing special. Guy is hittable but has kicks as you’d expect.

There isn’t a valid reason to pick Danylo from what I can see. A pick for Danylo is a gamble on a head kick KO or something. I don’t see it. There’s nothing too obvious to suggest Danylo gets instantly destroyed, though, he’s got a reasonable chin. Route to a quick victory is probably a takedown for Shawn Felder, but I really don’t know if he’ll do that very quickly. He seems to like to bang.

I’ll say this looks a lot like Shawn Felder vs Mark Currier did, Schoenfelder getting a second round knockdown after eating some shots in R1, and finishing with a choke.

RESULT: Shawn Felder by R2SUB

Daniel Frunza vs Vadym Kutsyi

Frunza starts hot, good leg kicks, looks aggressive at first, but seems to settle into a rhythm in later rounds. I’m kinda surprised he’s got so many finishes, but it looks like when he lands clean, guys stay hurt. Should be fun to watch.

Vadym Kutsyi has had nearly 2 years out, which is a shame because his record was stellar at 17-1 and he was posting some decent wins. Kutsyi, like Frunza, throws hard, especially leg kicks, but can be kinda slow too.

I dunno, I think these two are kinda similar, I think they’ll just meet in the middle at some point or other, maybe no rush at first, and from there Kutsyi is just more likely to be able to mix it up. I think he gets a decision. Looks a bit of a tough fight for Frunza, he’s got a similar style but just doesn’t quite look as good.

RESULT: Vadym Kutsyi by DEC

Francesco Mazzeo vs Kevin Christian

What in the heck is this fight doing on DWCS?

Mazzeo looks like a can to me, he was getting dominated by this guy Hewett before an illegal knee got him the DQ. He looks like a typical two minute gas tank and if the opponent doesn’t fold like a lawn chair, I think he looks really bad.

Kevin Christian is a 6’7 light heavyweight (you heard me) and also looks unimpressive. He is flat-footed and slow, but obviously has physical advantages due to his length and reach. I think he could easily get cracked, but that’s always a danger when you’re that tall, if you get hit you’re basically a head on a stick.

I hate this fight from what I’ve seen, it’s really poor, but I’m going to pick Kevin Christian because I do think he has a more technical striking style and I just think he’ll break Mazzeo down and Mazzeo’s tank will just PLUMMET. Mazzeo has about a two minute window to land power punches which probably won’t be easy.

RESULT: Kevin Christian by R2TKO

Kevin Vallejos vs Cam Teague

Reminder: Kevin Vallejos was a considerable favourite against Jean Silva, who is now established as a big deal in the UFC 145 division. That show how highly regarded the Argentinian was. Vallejos has real speed, good combos, mixes it up well, but got beat up a little bit in the later rounds by Silva.

Cam Teague is nowhere near as heralded, his last win over Austin Lingo EASILY the biggest of his career – and one I think is genuinely high level. Teague will throw at a high clip, much like Vallejos, so I do like this fight on paper, I think it’s going to be an action-packed affair, and I think if Vallejos has an issue anywhere, it’s the size of Teague. Dude is 6’0 to Kevin’s 5’7, Kevin is a fader, Teague is a finisher, but I do most of all like Vallejos’ counters, so I’m going to pick him.

I think this will be fun though! A lot will depend on how tough Teague is, because after a round and a half if he’s still throwing at a high clip, I think he can win this. In fact, screw it, I’m picking Teague for the upset instead, I like Vallejos a lot though, his body work could be key to him winning this one and shutting Teague down.

RESULT: Cam Teague by DEC

Rose Conceicao vs Alexia Thainara

I actually thought these had fought before but Rose fought someone called “Thays” in LFA rather than Thainara. Who knew!

I am not impressed with Rose Conceicao on the feet, I think she’s pretty sloppy and shows poor technique, but she also seems to grow into fights and looks completely unchallenged by going five full rounds, so she has cardio, bro. She’s a better grappler than striker, but the pressure might be on her to do something other than grapple.

Alexia Thainara’s only defeat is against Bruna Brasil, who looks a better fighter than Rose Conceicao unless I’m missing something, and she holds a win of Rayanne Amanda, another UFC fighter, so she’s been in there with a decent level (or at least entry level UFC). Alexia might not have perfect technique either, but I do think her striking is the better here, and that should get her the win.

From the quick tape I saw, I don’t really see any reason to favour Rose, though she might get a takedown or two, Alexia looked equipped to deal with it.

RESULT: Alexia Thainara by DEC

Sanko like Dana's special Astronaut preparing for launch.

Gotta take a Power Crap to clear out the system of debris and gas, as well as keep her belly and pouch lean to showcase the bOObs.

Then last minute sorting out the hair, makeup, and wardrobe; maybe take some shine off the forehead.

Little sips of water so she doesn't have to pee too much during the broadcast.

Multiple mirror checks as she practices her fight lingo and word bingo.

Wow, another player in the Teague League.

I'm actually not very convinced he wins, but I do like some of what he brings to the table and I'm kinda going with him on a hunch lol

I am worried he eats some crippling body shots, though.

I'm going on pure gut, I'm tired of overthinking sh!t. I studied my NFL picks for last weekend and did horse sh!t as did most folks, except one mofo who called a perfect pool card across the entire province and woke up over 300 grand richer. so I'm free-wheeling this contender card. Teague got the physical stats let's see if he has the skills & heart to put it together.
