I've had about 5 years off and finally decided to start boxing again but I cant find any real gyms in my area (chattanooga,tn.) Any ideas? Honestly debating moving just to find a decent gym.

Be more lucid in what you're asking for.

Just a gym that atleast somewhat serious. The only locals that I've found are community rings to try to tone down local gang violence and a "fitness boxing studio." I'm looking for a more traditional gym that I can spar at with likeminded boxers. Theres an mma gym that offers boxing but thats pretty much worst case scenario and I hope it doesn't come to that lol.

I guess either go to one of the gyms near you, or move to find a better gym. Personally I think moving for a gym is pretty crazy, especially if you're just getting back into it and it's not something you're already dedicated to.

I'd say just try the ones near you. Find the one that suits you the best. If, after some amount of time, you feel strongly that you *need* a better gym, then do whatever you think is best.

It's kind of like that here in my area, but like shoemaker said, if you aren't dedicated and it's been awhile just go to one of those. Mma one probably is better but the county ones you mentuoned are free (at least here).

If youre serious about it then find one you can travel to. My travel time to my gym is about 35-40 min.

That's the real sport.
