So Poirier is officially a 155er now huh? I'm interested to see how he fares. He's young, he can bulk up.

As he should. LW is a completely different animal. He's used to fighting 145ers and there's some huge 155ers like Paul Felder, Donald Cerrone, Gleison Tibau, etc. I'd say he needs at least 3 fights before they test him with a top 15 opponent. He needs to get used to the division.

I wouldn't say it was purely the McGregor fight. He's gotten beat anytime he got that step up into top 5 competition. Cub Swanson, Chan Sung Jung, and Conor McGregor. He said he has a very difficult weight cut and feels he won't be so depleted in the late rounds back at 155.
