I mean, that has to be the gameplan or he wont win. Prob not gonna win anyway.

Khabib usually only has 3 rounds of cardio against boxer brawlers like dustin. Should be one of dustins easier fight. I'd say 60/40 in fair of Dustin.
Yeah cos after 3 rounds with Khabib, dustin (if he makes it that long) will look just like he did in rd 1

That's what they all say until they are in the cage with him and get squeezed like an Anaconda does to it's pray.

He better stop him because he has no other way to win
Agreed.

Dustin is not on Khabibs level.

But I think he will do better than Conor who was having slight success on the feet in the later rounds.

Dustin has an overrated gas tank but still better than Conor, so if Khabib struggles to take him down in the later rounds, it'll at least be interesting.

But that's a big IF.

No one in LW can touch Khabib except for perhaps Tony and maybe actually Gaetjhe.

Never forget brother.

Was one of the most BRUTAL stoppages in UFC history... I honestly thought Islam died in there.

Because they are the same fighters... It´s like showing a KO of an american and then predict the defeat of another american... Simply stupid!

It is quite funny though when a grappling specialist racks up an unbeaten streak everyone wants their next opponent to flatline them. I'd rather see Khabib get submitted, I think that would be more of a shocking loss for him rather than slept.
Khabib would have to grapple Maia to get submitted... and even then I'd bet on Khabib by UD. There's no one at 155 who can pose a sub threat to him.

Dustin will definitely do better than Canor. All he has to do is last 5 rounds, lmao.

If he does I will be mad impressed.
But I’ve got Khabib in this one.

Will be fun to dredge up this post, after Poirer gets mauled..
Feels like another version of 'glass chinned rat, McGregor round 1'.

Thats funny, because I actually think most of the people posting that stuff are McGregor fans who have climbed aboard the Dustin train out of spite and butthurt.

everyone roll one during round 1 while khabib dry humps dustin's leg
round 2 we get some good action. See who wins

Gaethje has the recipe but is he on Khabib's level as a competitor is the question.

I have El Cucuy submitting him, so there's that.

Oh, fer sure, El Cucuy is a real BJJ münster. That's why he got shut down by rd1 Lee and Castillo. Ya'll all see.

MJ almost stopped kalabeeb. I could easily see Dustin stopping him if he can stop the take downs.

I don't know about beat him, but I do have the feeling that Khabib will get hit more in this fight than all of his previous fights combined.

Modern Poirier is not exactly easy to wear down or finish unless you are a KO puncher, and his offense nowadays is relentless and layered. He's not going to just take potshots like unprepared Iaquinta, or be as fearful of the takedown and gassing as Conor was. If Khabib starts trying to take a round off along the way as he's known to do, he will get beat up. I think he's tough enough to survive and still win, but he will be pushed more in this fight than ever before!

The problem with Poirier is that his TDD is poor no matter how you look at it. I wouldn't be surprised if he has worse TDD than Conor. Don't know if Dustin will be able to hurt Khabib in the brief window he gets to stand and bang, but I do know that Dustin will NOT make Khabib work hard for the takedowns. The less Khabib has to work for the TDs, the more stamina he has left for smesh.

I respect Dustin, but it's going to be a long night for him. He'll have plenty of time to rethink his life as he's staring at the ceiling with Khabib on top of him.

If by stopping him you mean get his ass kicked, then yes, he did.

Khabib is going to do what he does to all of them. Get him to the ground for first 2-3 rounds, fatigue the shit out of Dustin, and then its all downhill from there. Dustin's best shot, his KO punch, will have no mustard on it, and Khabib can finish the fight however he chooses to.
