So when Dustin beat Dan Hooker it was another win for the French against the Anglos. Nice
French slave ownerWhat about Cormier? Since we are counting retired fighters
Come on man
Dude's first name literally means Frenchman.
Dustin is Mexican. Native American Mexican. No European blood. Straight native.I expect to see all the “Tony ain’t Mexican” crybabies to come out in force in this thread.
So he is pretty much the UFC's Version of The Waterboy?
Tabarnac! I can dig it!
All of Quebec, France and Swampville USA will be shouting " You can dooo it!" in his next fight against Conrad.
There was a fake Irish guy.. I forget his name but he called himself the Irish Hand Grenade..
Dude wasn't even Irish but came out to bag pipes playing while swinging the Irish flag and all..
Fighters started calling him out on it
George St-Pierre is hands down, without a doubt the frenchiest name ever, but Daniel Cormier would be second. Dustin is infinitely more english than Daniel.

Dustin "Le Diamonde" Poirier
Always like this one Xavier "professor X" Foupa-Pokam
But hands down the frenchiest is
Francois Raphael Edgar Norbert Celestine Hebert Absalom Correntine Clement Emmanuel Nathaniel Tellus, IV
AKA
Frenchaccent
So a hebrew name is definitely more french then a norman name?
Le diamant*Dustin "Le Diamonde" Poirier
Haud yer wheesht! Everyone knows Ferguson is Scottish.I expect to see all the “Tony ain’t Mexican” crybabies to come out in force in this thread.
Except Dustin can't communicate with that crowd except in English, his mother tongue. It's a troll thread, but the UFC could definitely play up Poirier's heritage if there were a French speaking market to be exploited at present.
I remember him getting a lot of support from the crowd when he fought on that TUF finale in Quebec several years back.
I’m sure you’re savvy enough to know but for people who don’t, his birth name is Anthony Armand Ferguson Padilla. His stepfather’s surname is Ferguson.Haud yer wheesht! Everyone knows Ferguson is Scottish.
As any of you who attended high school should know* Lafayette was colonized by French settlers mostly from Canada and France during the 17th and 18th century. They are referred to as Cajun and speak Cajun French which is a distant cousin to French Canadian. They don't have language laws to protect their heritage so less and less people speak French there now but most of the people are of French descent including Dustin Poirier, hence his last name.
Stop trolling it's DiamondeLe diamant*
#freeapuCrazy how great The Simpsons once was..
Too bad it stayed on the air for 50 years..
Dustin 'we surrender' Poirier
And he still has little to no French in him.Cormier is a french name.
