... "Another type of MRSA infection has occurred in the wider community — among healthy people. This form, community-associated MRSA (CA-MRSA), often begins as a painful skin boil. It's usually spread by skin-to-skin contact. At-risk populations include groups such as high school wrestlers, child care workers and people who live in crowded conditions."

Fighter Kevin Lee fought Tony Ferguson with staph. What is Dustin's problem?
it's not responding to antibiotics, so the infection will just keep progressing unless they get it under control and that requires overnight stay at the hospital.

staph is variable. some respond to oral antibiotics, but when that doesn't work or it gets bad you need IV antibiotics in the hospital. he's probably on vancomycin and zosyn for cellulitis.

hopefully it hasn't gotten to his blood stream. that can be really bad especially if you have hardware (rods, screws, prosthetic joints) in your body.

I'm pretty sure he does from that hip surgery. Staph is no joke for some.

If he's not responding to antibiotics, it's could be bad news for him.

Randleman had a horrible staph infection that almost killed him and permanently compromised his health afterwards.

Thanks to decades of lazy weak people going to the doctor for any little illness and lazy doctors handing out prescriptions for antibiotics just to get those whiny ass lazy weak people out of their office.
That isn't the problem. Patients who stop taking the medication because they feel better rather than completing the full course is the problem. That's what conditions naturally resistant organisms.

Wishing him a speedy recovery!
