2. You're correct, adding mass won't help. But... transitioning his excess fat (he's around 13-14%) to muscle (where his bf is ~10%) would definitely help. He went into the Khabib fight fat as fuck and it's a huge reason why he lost. Can't go into championship fights as a LW with 14% bodyfat. He's giving up about 6 pounds of muscle for fat which is a mistake.

2nd... sub 10% bodyfat is extremly hard to mantain for most people and not everybody functions well there. You have to be a genetic freak to be at that point and perform 100% under USADA.

Dustin lost the first fight because, apart from simply being better, Conor was faster than him. Not sure what the hell he's thinking bulking up when Conor's bulked up over the years, many saying too far and that it's cost him his speed and agility.

He had the perfect chance to try and come in smaller and quicker than Conor this time around, and is instead trying to seemingly match his size.
