Dumbest phrases/sayings pertaining to MMA/Boxing?

Also, anyone who cites Fightmetric or "significant strikes" as if it determines who wins a fight.

One strike can have more of an effect (effectiveness is the scoring criterion) than 50 other "significant" ones.

"Leaving it all in the cage" only one who can say this is Dada 5000

"Octagon control" walking forward doesn't mean you are winning. Stepping back doesn't mean your running away.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHH HE'S HURT!!!"

No shit Sherlock.

Oh, and maybe the only thing dumber than saying Chuck never beat strikers is saying that a loss doesn't count for much because a guy "just got caught" and would win a fight "____ times out of ten."

Usually put forth by someone arguing that GSP is GOAT and wants to completely ignore a time he got KTFO'd.

Well GSP did dominate Serra in the rematch did he not?

Goldberg at UFC 200: "UFC 200 is not one of the greatest nights in combat sports, UFC 200 is one of the greatest nights in sports, period." LMAO

Sure, which is why he won that fight. He still lost the first one.

In other words, the winner of a fight isn't always the better fighter overall. The winner of the fight is whomever won the fight that night. That's what makes the sport (and sports in general) so great.

It's like in football, if one team loses the Super Bowl and then has players come out and say, "So what, we're still the better team," everyone tells them to shut up and stop whining. But in MMA some people put up with that stupid shit, and people on Sherdog spew it here and there.

The best teams, and the best fighters, are those that CONSISTENTLY win and are CONSISTENTLY the best team or fighter night in and night out. That's why sports seasons are longer than just a game or two.

"Work the body!" "Body, body, head!" Sounds like the title of a cheap porno movie.
