looks like Pettis won't stay long at 145 if cut is brutal. He should take MJ fight at UFC 205 or fight Max Holloway for n1 contender fight at 145

Wow I always thought he could easily make 145. I wonder if they just don't know how to cut weight at that camp or something.

Yeah I tought the same, but he looked terrible (physically)

he called out MJ and said he wants him or Pettis.

I think he's not interested in building up a win streak to get a titleshot @ FW.

He either gets a fast-track or he goes up to 155.

Pettis looked like he was on chemotherapy....

Need to go back at 155lbs and spent more time on the mat with Ben Askren...

Yes, he even gassed which is thing that didn't happen before to him. Looks like he is going back to LW if he doesn't get the title fight.

Ya ok Duke.

And CM Punk was going to beat Mickey Gall.

Still blows my mind that his TDD is so bad when he has someone like Askren that must have owned him enough now that he would have at least decent TDD.

That's not a good sign that his cut was that hard. I've heard people say that he never cut much to get to 155, but he never liked like a small guy at 155 to me. With that said, I would imagine that his last cut may be his hardest if he continues to cut to 145 since it was his first time. Furthermore, his cardio seemed very good in my opinion as he never looked too winded to me against a top shelf opponent in Charles Oliveira.

Fighters with good TDD are usually strong. Pettis looks to be weak on the clinch.

Strange, because at LW his last few fights he looked tiny, barely looks any bigger than his Bantamweight brother these days. 145 is where he needs to stay.

Hmm, I think he should stay at 45. It was his first time cutting to this weight, so I'll give him a pass. Next time, he should have sorted out the kinks for cutting to FW, so the cut should be easier and he should be better.

His TDD isn't that bad actually. Now he just seems to get held against the cage similar to JDS. JDS has great TDD but he could not get Cain off of him.

Yep I think they just need to bring someone in to show them how to do the cut. Maybe the method they are using isn't very good or maybe just not good for someone like Pettis.

I've seen him at my gym a few times. He's an average looking guy; certainly not someone who I'd think was close to 155 (or 145, for that matter). If I had to guess, I'd say he looked 170 or 180.

Still better than Conor!

Bro looks like Hillary on 9/11 bad.

Pettis cutting to 145 is harder than him cutting to 155??? Who would have ever guessed?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

needs to stay his ass at 145 if he wants to avoid more Ls. Lots of people look terrible when they cut weight for the first time.
