No. My sisters ex-husband got a DUI charge and my sister didn't get anything. She was able to drive and tried to tell him but he insisted on driving. He now has 3 DUI charges because he's fucking stupid.

No. But realistically, how often does this happen anyways? If you're letting someone drive drunk, it's cause you're all drunk.

I’m pretty sure that only the person driving drunk gets in trouble.

Good thing he’s her ex. Even one single DWI makes you a fucking loser, now 3....that’s a whole new level.

Nope. An acquaintance of mine got pulled over when we left a bar. He got a dui, and I had a 2 mile trek through the snow.

You would think they would let you drive the car home, but that sweet, sweet impound money.

Yeah. He didn't offer and I would have declined. I was drunker than the driver and seeing him get stuffed in the back of a squad car was enough to not wanna test my luck.

Surprised they didn't get you for public once you started your trek.

Co worker just got pulled over for his 5th dui. They pulled him over for speeding originally, gave him a sobriety test and subsequently charged him with speeding, the dui (obviously) and gave him 4 counts of reckless endangerment (one for every passenger).

5th? At what point do they revoke your license for good?

For good? I don't think they'll do that. It's suspended until he pays all his fines and completes some AA courses and a few other things. Still driving though.

That's fucked. At some point they should realize that the person is too much of a danger to have a license.

As you see in this example, the guy is still driving. Not having a license only stops law abiding people from driving. The only thing that can prevent drunks from driving is a jail cell. Wisconsin has many people with 6 to 12 DUI convictions.

True. DD's can be hard to come by. Usually, if someone is sober, they're the driver by default.

DUI should be an even harsher penalty in the age of uber. It literally costs me like $8 more to take an uber downtown than to park in a parking deck.
