Dude Squats 1108lbs Raw

Depth seems close (if goal is dead parallel) but did jump out to me as perhaps not quite there. We can nit pick the lift for sure but still damn impressive.

"raw"
Has on squat suit
Has on belt
Has on knee wraps

Well done for exposing yourself to be an idiot.

Imo depth was fine, and if we had another angle, it might have been just about parallel. Its still a fucking huge deal. I can see this being an easy 925lb squat with great depth.

The depth wasn't "fine" at all. In the context of powerlifting, you actually can't get any further from "fine."

No other angle is going to help that squat look any deeper or anywhere close to parallel.

You might want to be careful, you're treading pretty closely too.

Good for you.

Wrong on every level lol.

That’s not a suit
Lol @ belt not being “raw”
Those are not wraps, just sleeves

Man has a 2,100+lbs Raw total in competition, including a 425kg squat. Yes, it was high by competition standards, but still some crazy shit imo.

He can be seen in other pics from that day where the "singlet" is half off and is clearly compressing. It's not much but it's something.

Same with the knee sleeves. I'm tired of the "anything less than 2 ply knee wraps is raw" bs.

I know most consider the belt raw, I do myself, but it's still gear.

How were you so confidently wrong on every point?

Impressive performance.

It takes practice.

It's still a singlet and not. squat suit. A squat suit is a very specific thing.

Knee sleeves are knee sleeves. Wraps are wraps. He has standard SBD neoprene knee sleeves on. Not wraps, as you initially said.

It doesn't matter what you or anyone else considers. A belt is raw in the context of the sport of powerlifting. So are the knee sleeves. So is the singlet.

At what point does the compression go past "just a singlet" and "just sleeves"? Is there a psi rating or what are we talking here? Oh, I'm raw, but I use a singlet that's latex based and knee sleeves that are latex based so it's technically not a squat suit and technically not knee wraps even though they provide compression. It's just fucking stupid.

I'm just pissy because the phrase raw has always been counter intuitive regardless of it's various definitions by different federations.
