Moved back to Massachusetts after 7 years in Florida, and my skin has forgotten how to deal with the cold. Chest, back, shoulders, and especially face quickly get dry red and itchy. Basically the hardworking version of ashy.

Picked up a bottle of Jergens to use on my body, and a bottle of CVS face creme for, well, my face. Jergens seems to work well, while the face creme feels like acid, and has left my face as dry as the Sahara. Besmirched.

Need some recommendations. What do you cans use?

This thread goes perfectly with your user name.

I have my wife put Eucerin regular on my back every day. I use it on my face and hands as well.

Cerave works really well too. I have their specific face lotion.

Jergens is crap.

Well if your own jizz ain't working then I'll send you some of mine.

Yeah this thread just got weird.

heat up some coconut oil, mash up some avocado, and combine it with aloe vera juice. Blend that shit together, spread it all over yourself, and let me know if it works.

I heard olive oil goes very well with that. Maybe a little shredded parmesan.

I'd think you'd be happy about someone leaving FL. More German Shepherds for you, I guess

Are there any lotions out there, that don't make you feel sticky?

It seems like every lotion I have tried, makes me sticky, or uncomfortable. I mainly just use it on my sharkskin elbows and my ashy knees.

I would recommend Aveno or another less harsh non comedogenic lotion. Jergens and the cheap stuff are garbage.

Some other stuff I've tried are:
-make sure you drink a lot of water
-Jojjoba oil might work for you
-HUMIDIFIER IN YOUR ROOM

If you're up for a little research, you can look through this database to find products with fewer harmful ingredients (based on actual scientific studies), since a lot of skincare products are generally not good for skin and are not well regulated, at least in the US.

http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/

They have ratings for the product as a whole, and for the individual ingredients. It goes from 0-10, or green to red, with 0 being the best.

From there it helps to read user reviews on the product you're interested in (on Amazon or some other site), since benign ingredients do not always equal good results, and there is a lot of trendy new age stuff out there that is garbage.

Right now I only use a facial moisturizer (Cetaphil), which was the best thing easily available locally. With a little time, you can probably find something better, though.
