I’m usually not a huge drinker, I may have about 4 beers per month, however over the holidays I’ve had a few drinks, before Christmas I had 2x nights out with work and got drunk but nothing crazy, then for the last 8 days straight I’ve had at least 2x beers a day with family and social stuff
It’s made me feel awful, no motivation, low energy, skin looks worse, fat and bloated, I make poor choices and eat anything leading to a bad diet and feeling even worse.
Who else is with me and any tips to avoid been pressured into having a drink?
I’m in the UK and we have a depressing drinking culture round here

Advice for resisting pressure to drink? Say no and do something positive instead. Work out, cook a healthy meal, do something nice for someone, get chores done around the house. Keep yourself busy with healthy habits and eventually that is what your life will become

I go biking with friends every weekend and we go for a drink on the way home, they all pressure you into having one, that’s mostly where my 4x beers a month comes from, they won’t respect dry January

I don't drink unless I want to. I don't bother feeling pressured by anyone trying to make me drink socially, because I'm an asshole and have no regard for what people think.

The last time I did drink I felt crummy. It's more fun not feeling crummy, so I just don't want any.

If you don’t want to drink and they keep pressuring you too, might want to find a new group of friends
