Hi Sherbors, I'm planning on buying a drone, for casual vacation shots/videos. Two models caught my attention the Mavic Air and Spark. The Spark got me mostly due to price point the flymore package is around $ 680 in my country and the Air almost $1k for the flymore version. I'm thinking I should by the spark instead since I'm just new to this and dont really see the point of 4k videos, although I'm thinking the air might be future proofed atleast for maybe 2-3 years. Are DJI products good as advertised? I'm mean do the motors basically last long ?

They are both good. I do 4k, so I have the Air. The Air also has more safety features and a longer battery life, but the Spark isn't bad either.

DJi drones are pretty well made.

Did you buy that extra warranty package?

Mavic was the bomb when I had it. Unfortunately I couldn't really fly it anywhere by where I live.

I think a lot of people buy a drone thinking it's gonna get used a lot but I'm sure 10% really get a lot of use out of theirs. It's like a GoPro. People buy it thinking they're gonna get shots of them doing awesome shit but they end up filming themselves riding around the block.

If you have interesting stuff near you and don't live near an airport, sure go for it.
