Side note: Shamrock was out for 3yrs "retired" and left while on top. He's a big question mark in that early era given how lhw in pride and UFC played out. Ironically there r a few fighters who've had that long of a layoff while still active... Namely Cain velasquez and McGregor. Both out 2 yrs as a champs lol

Not a huge fan of both (don’t dislike them just never was one of their big fans back in the day I preferred Shogun), but Chuck vs Wanderlei during their UFC/Pride title runs would have been huge at the time for the sport. So not a dream matchup for me per say but it would have been a super fight no doubt.
