SCENE - CITY OF ATLANTIS (8,000 years ago)

An overhead sprawling shot of the majestic city of Atlantis (before it sank). Smoke and fire can be seen throughout the city. Inside the throne room, one of the officers inform King Kamuu that the Deviant (evolutionary offshoot of humanity) invaders have been destroyed thanks to the King's plan to open the magma pits, which is the city's means of heating. But it also caused a chain reaction that's triggering powerful earthquakes and volcanic eruptions throughout the land. This will be known in the history books as The Great Cataclysm.

A clearly burdened King Kamuu is not surprised. He reminds everyone in the council that they had no choice. It was either be massacred by the Deviants or take their chances with releasing the magma pits. Kamuu asks for an update on the fortification plans. One of the chancellors report that the domes have been fortified and half of the city's populace are inside the domes. The mages are almost finished with their spells. Everything is ready for what's about to come next. The earthquakes continue to increase in intensity.

Kamuu thanks everyone, gives a brief consoling speech and advice everyone to be with their loved ones. Kamuu excuses himself from the council. He goes to the royal chambers to be with his wife and children. They embrace as they watch from the windows the city being torn apart from the ground. The camera zooms out to see the city break apart.

A group of soldiers that were busy fighting the Deviant army a while ago arrive outside to one of the glass domes. The doors are already locked. Some of the soldiers' families spot them and approach the glass wall. They exchange tearful goodbyes. The soldiers smile and take comfort their loved ones are safe.

The violent quakes reach a critical point. Buildings crumble. The streets are flooded with water. Large portions of the land fall apart to the sea. Atlantis sinks to the bottom of the ocean.

Opening title appears - NAMOR: THE SUBMARINER

SCENE - KID NAMOR'S HOME (8,000 years later)

"... and that's how Atlantis sank to the bottom of the ocean," Fen says to her 8-year-old son, Namor.

The room is filled with water but both are breathing and talking naturally. Fen explains the wizards later turned the Atlantean survivors into water breathers, creating a new species in the process - Homo Mermanus. Fen reminds Namor of their agreement and that it's his turn to tell her what happened at school. A visibly bruised Namor says the kids at school constantly makes fun of him because of his pink skin and ankle wings. (All Atlanteans are blue-skinned) He says he tried to ignore them but when five of them started pushing him, he had to fight back.

Fen and Namor communicate in some sort of sonar language, typical for Atlanteans. The sonar speech shifts to the English language (and will remain this way for the rest of the movie). The characters are still talking in the Atlantean sonar language but from the audience's perspective, they're talking in English. It also makes it easier for the performers to properly act and emote.

Fen comforts Namor, reminds him that he is special and she loves him no matter what. But she is glad that he kicked their butts though. Both laugh. Namor asks for his favorite bedtime story. Fen smiles. It's her favorite story also. It's the story of how he was conceived. (When Fen tells the story, there will be no flashback scenes. Fen uses toys to narrate the story.)

The story begins with Princess Fen investigating explosions on the surface that caused some damage to the underwater city of Atlantis. Fen meets Captain Leonard MacKenzie who set explosive charges to break up ice floes in his ship's path. Curious about the surface world and the air breathers, Fen agrees to stay on board the ship. She learns that Leonard is on a quest to find the Helmet of Power (also known as the Serpent Crown to Marvel readers). As the days passed by, Fenn and MacKenzie fell in love.

Thinking that her daughter has been abducted or killed, King Thakkor sends a war party to retrieve the princess. The war party finds MacKenzie's ship and kills everyone on board, including MacKenzie apparently. The Atlanteans bring Fen back to her father. When King Thakkor found out that Fen is pregnant, he disowns her and banishes her from the capital. Several months later, Namor was born - the first known Homo Sapien-Homo Mermamnus hybrid.

As she concludes her story, the camera focuses on the hall doorway. We see a height mark on the doorway. From the 48-inch mark, the camera slowly goes up and other height marks appear. The camera stops moving at the 72-inch mark. A man passes by the doorway...

    SCENE - NAMOR'S HOME (18 years later)

Namor, now all grown up, walks through the hall doorway (that has the 72-inch height mark) and out of the house. It's roughly 4 a.m. based on the few street lamp posts that are lit. Namor resides in a slum area called the Outer Zone far away from the magnificent cityscape of the Captial. Despite his lowly stature, Namor carries himself with a sense of dignity, nobility and confidence with a dash of arrogance. Namor's strength, endurance, and speed are far superior to those of any normal Atlantean (and will only get stronger as he gets older).

    SCENE - GIGAN CRABS CAVE

Namor swims far away from the city borders and goes inside a ravine. [It's naturally dark at the bottom ocean but it's dimly lit for the audience's benefit] He goes inside a cave and stealthily grabs the 3-foot empty carapaces of the Gigan Crabs lying on the ground, careful not to disturb the cave's occupants. We see glimmers of large shadowy figures creepily crawling about their business. [Adult Gigan Crabs are 15 feet in width. They shed their baby carapaces and grow new bigger ones.]

    SCENE - FISH MARKET

Namor arrives at the fish market at equivalent to 6:15 a.m. where Fen is one of the vendors. Namor drops off the empty carapaces to his mother. She scrapes the insides of the carapaces which is considered to be a delicacy and very rare to procure. Namor overhears a group conversation nearby. A distraught woman is crying as she tells the group her husband alongside with all the miners were massacred by the Warlord Attuma and his barbarian army.

A small commotion as the crowd disperses to make way for Princess Verena and her royal guards. Verena drops by Fen's stall to buy Gigan Crab innards. She sees Namor and is fascinated by him. They strike up a conversation. Right from the get-go, there is chemistry between them. The Princess leaves but promises to be back again next week to buy more innards.

We learn through some small talk between Fen, Namor and other vendors that King Thakkor (Fen's father) died about nine years ago. Without a blood heir (Fen was ineligible due to being disowned) to pass on the title, the crown eventually went to Duke Valdis. King Valdis has two children - Prince Valzan and Princess Verena.

A trio of vendors, led by Galdan, approach Namor for a business proposition regarding the Gigan Crab carapaces. Namor refuse to reveal the Gigan Crab's location and rejects their offer due to Galdan's unscrupulous reputation and questionable fishing methods. Galdan makes a snide comment under his breath and walks away. Fen reminds Namor to drop by her house one of these days for dinner. Namor says he'll try and swims away to his day job at the factory.

    SCENE - ARMY RECRUITMENT CENTER

Before going to work, Namor drops by the army recruitment center. The low-level soldiers at the reception area roll their eyes when they see Namor who has been coming to the office every week for a couple of years now. As always, they condescendingly tell Namor there's no vacancy and turn him away. Namor angrily protests. They just snicker at him and mock him. One of them sarcastically says Namor has already faced Attuma and the blue drained away from Namor's body. Another bluntly says that Namor will never be a soldier for the Atlantean army. Holding his infamous temper in check, Namor walks out but says he'll be back again next week and vows he will become a Vanguard one of these days. The one called Svennz shouts back that the day Namor becomes a Vanguard Namor can cut off Svennz's balls.

    SCENE - FACTORY

The factories are Atlantean buildings used for the manufacture of weapons, vehicles, and other devices. The huge rooms for the assembly lines are devoid of water due to the construction nature requiring electricity, welding and other methods not suitable in water. Atlantean factory workers have to wear water suits or breathing apparatus for their necks to work inside. Namor, who can breathe air normally, doesn't need a water suit or breathing apparatus. Inside the water-free environment, the merfolks talk in their native Atlantean language.

Namor's job is very menial since they treat him lower than a second-class citizen. His only friend is the factory is Wesler, a mousy socially-awkward engineer. Wesler occasionally secretly teaches Namor on the technical aspect of his craft and is always pleasantly surprised at how quick Namor learns everything. Wesler's activities haven't gone unnoticed by some of the factory workers.

After everyone's shift is over and everybody has left the building, Namor goes to Wesler's department to invite him for drinks. Namor sees five factory workers standing over a beaten and unconscious Wesler on the ground. Namor charges towards the assailants and severely beats them up, trashing the place in the process. We see for the first time how good of a fighter Namor is, as well as displaying his exceptional strength. Security arrives and it takes numerous zappers to incapacitate Namor into custody.

    SCENE - ROYAL PALACE

The scene shifts to the Palace where we are introduced to the other members of the royal family. We see Princess Verena interacting with these characters and it's through these conversations that we learn that Verena is betrothed to Prince Khalen from the kingdom of Lemuria.

Lemuria is also an underwater city located far away from Atlantis. The two kingdoms have been at war with each other for centuries. Their veneration for their god, Set, a snakelike elder demon, have made the Lemurian's skin greenish and scaly. It has also given them a greater potential to wield magic. Recently, the Lemurians have initiated a truce with a peace pact that will be sealed with the marriage of Lemuria's Prince Khalen and Atlantis' Princess Verena. They are to be wed in three months.

King Valdis disapproves of her daughter going to the slum area for her charity work. Verena's brother, Prince Vanzan, mocks her sister on wasting her time on the peasants. Vanzan's best friend and cousin, Viscount Belarus, chimes in on the ridicule. Vanzan and Belarus are incredibly haugthy as they are pompous. Belarus, who is in charge of the wedding and reception, admonishes the Princess for not attending the meeting in preparation for the nuptials. Verena takes her leave but fires back something witty and subtly insluting that leaves the two dumbstruck for a while.

Inside her room, Verena at one point stares at the mirror and is transfixed by it. The reflection shows her background getting a bit dimmer. Her reflection shows her face gradually changes into something else... A knock at the door by her maid servant brings her back to reality. She shakes it off and goes on with her day.

    SCENE - JAIL

Namor wakes up in his cell, still feeling the after effects of the tasering and the physical beating. This is not the first time Namor has been in jail, far from it. With the record he has accumulated, Namor thinks they'll probably throw him in prison this time to do hard labor at the mines. Namor asks for the condition of his friend Wesler but the guard just ignores him.

After a while, Namor notices a middle aged man talking to one of the guards. The middle aged man leaves while the guard opens Namor's cell and says he's free to go. Namor catches up to the middle aged man outside on the streets. Namor says he recognizes the man. He has seen him talking to his mother a few times in the past. Namor asks who is he. The middle aged man simply says he is just a friend of his mother. Before leaving Namor, the mystery man also informs him that Wesler is in the infirmary but is expected to be out in a week or two.

SCENE - FISH MARKET (a week later)

As Namor leaves the house before dawn to go to the Gigan Crab cave, Galdan (the jealous fish vendor) and two of his associates are lurking in the corner shadows across Namor's house. Namor arrives later at the fish market with a fresh batch of Gigan Crab carapaces. As promised, Princess Verena returns to Fen's stall later to buy some innards. Namor and Verena do their harmless, flirty repartee.

A crowd murmurs as a badly-injured and bleeding Galdan slowly walks to his stall. Namor spots the Gigan Crab carapaces Galdan just unloaded. Namor surmised that Galdan must have followed him to the cave. He furiously asks Galdan what happened even though he already suspects what transpired. Galdan says they followed him to the whereabouts to the cave and they went in as Namor departed. As they were scooping the empty carapaces, the Gigan Crabs detected them and attacked them. His two associates were killed and eaten. Galdan barely managed to get out of the cave alive.

Namor yells at Galdan for being a fool for coming back to town bleeding, leaving a trail that...

Suddenly, screams can be heard a few blocks away. People are frantically swimming away from something. Some are shouting that Gigan Crabs are rampaging through the streets. Namor swims towards the source of the commotion. A stubborn Verena insists she and her six royal guards accompany Namor to help the people.

Namor and company reach the corner and sees three Gigan Crabs attacking everyone on sight. Namor grabs a spear and a shield and takes on one of the crabs. The royal guards also engage the crabs. Verena helps the injured and the children get to safety. One by one, the royal guards are killed by the crabs. After a hard fought battle, Namor kills two of the crabs.

The last remaining crab pins down Verena to the wall. Namor rushes to Verena but is too far away. The crab lunges its mouth at Verena. A helpless Namor instinctively shouts, "Stop!" Incredulously, the crab stopped its attack and looks at Namor. After a few tense seconds, the crab just skitters away, presumably back to its cave. An overwrought Verena hugs Namor, who is still confused as to what transpired.

    SCENE - THE ROYAL PALACE

For his act of heroism in saving the people, especially Princess Verena, from the Gigan Crab, Namor is invited to the Royal Palace for an audience with King Valdis. Namor is amazed that the water inside the Capital is pristinely cleaner than in the slum area.

In the throne room, Verena introduces Namor to the palace officials. Namor is taken aback when he is introduced to Counselor Meero. It's the same middle aged man who bailed Namor out of jail and claims to be a friend of his mother. Both Namor and Meero keep up the pretense that this is their first meeting.

The King thanks Namor for saving his daughter. Voldor asks Namor if he has any boon for his reward. Namor asks that his mother's banishment be lifted and better living conditions for the people outside the dome city living in squalor and poverty. Namor noticed when he entered the dome Capital that there are a lot of vacant hectares outside the city limits, more than enough to accommodate the people living in the Outer Zone. So Namor asks the King if he can allow the slum people to live inside the dome.

Prince Vanzan and Viscount Belarus object to both requests and make some disparaging remarks about the Outer Zone citizens. They also make some contemptuous comments and subtle insults towards Namor. Counselor Meero raises the positive merits of Namor requests. Other snobbish members of the council also chime in with their disapproval. Namor debates the issue but to no avail. The King denies Namor's request but asks if he has any other boon. Namor says there is one particular wish he has in mind.

    SCENE - ARMY RECRUITMENT CENTER

The soldiers at the recruitment center are hanging outside the building when the Vanguard army marches past their area. The soldiers' eyes widen and jaws dropped when they spot Namor in a Vanguard uniform among the new recruits. Namor continues to march but takes the time to look at Svennz from the recruitment center. Namor subduedly points at Svennz crotch area, then makes a scissor motion with his fingers. Svennz gulps and unconsciously covers up his nether region.

    SCENE - VANGUARD BOOT CAMP

At the Vanguard boot camp, the other recruits look at Namor with disdain and they pretty much shunned him. This is nothing new to Namor. The brash Namor doesn't even get along with the veteran drill instructor, "Bones" Rhandoo, clashing with him several times. To teach Namor a lesson, Bones challenges Namor to a sparring match. Bones defeats a surprised Namor. Bones says Namor is incredibly strong, stronger than any Atlantean, and that he is a good brawler but he just lacks proper technique and discipline.

In the next weeks, Namor applies himself to the training and eventually excels in all the different aspects of the program. During a two-day obstacle course challenge, Namor is grouped with Janus, Flehm, Dartanis and Andromeda. Namor's group placed second to the last on the first day of the team challenge due to not being in sync and infighting among them. On that night, Namor's group opened up to each other and had a breakthrough. On the second day, Namor's group, who is now in harmony, placed first and won the obstacle course. They also bonded in the process and long-lasting friendships would be forged. Though he didn't show it, this is is the first time Namor felt like he was finally accepted.

A week later, Namor and his friends are full-fledged Vanguards. After the graduation ceremony, Namor and Bones see each other from a distance. Both gives a slight nod to each other, acknowledging their mutual respect.

    SCENE - MINING COLONY

While on a routine patrol outside Atlantis, Namor's Vanguard squad, consisting of 12 members, receives a distress call from a mining colony which is raided by the Warlord Attuma and his nomad barbarians. The squad leader tells his team to wait for reinforcements before proceeding to the mining colony. Namor argue that it might be too late to save the miners and their family if they wait. The squad leader orders Namor to stand down. Namor disobeys the command and leaves the squad to help the miners. Janus, Flehm, Dartanis and Andromeda defy their squad leader and follows Namor to battle.

Namor and his friends arrive at the mining colony and witness Attuma and his gang massacre the miners. Namor and friends intervene and a skirmish ensues. Eventually, Namor faces Attuma in a one-on-one battle. After the first few exchanges, Attuma is surprised to learn that Namor is as strong as him. Attuma asks for Namor's name. The two continue to fight in an epic clash. The match ends in a draw as Attuma flees upon hearing that the Vanguard reinforcements are arriving.

The Vanguard and the miners cheer and congratulate Namor. Not only did his actions save a lot of miners lives as well as stop Attuma's gang from successfully raiding the minerals, Namor fought the legendary Attuma to a standstill - a feat nobody has ever done since all who fights Attuma in single combat dies. Learning to play the game a little, Namor gives credit to his Vanguard squad leader for his decision to send him to the mining colony first.

    SCENE - ROYAL PALACE

Namor's squad is invited to the pre-wedding celebration at the palace where they were given their commendations from the King. The ballroom is water-free because the food is prepared like how they do it in the surface world (grilled, cooked, etc). Guests carry breathing apparatus around their necks.

Namor and his friends (Janus, Flehm, Dartanis and Andromeda) are having a good time at the party. Namor is stunned when he sees Verena and how beautiful she looks tonight. Prince Khalen of Lemuria rudely interrupts the Namor and Verena's discussion. After some dialogue, Khalen goads Namor to a friendly match - a test of swordsmanship. The rule is the first to draw blood from their opponents three times wins.

The match starts out tentatively with each participant giving off a nonchalant vibe. But as the contest goes on, both swordsmen's demeanor and aggressiveness change. Khalen makes the first cut on Namor. Khalen brags. A second cut follows. More taunting from Khalen. It's clear to everybody that Khalen is the superior swordsman between the two. Just as Khalen was about win, Namor makes a bold and unexpected move that wins him the match.

While a humiliated and flustered Prince Khalen excuses himself from the festivities to attend to his cuts and bruises, Namor asks Verena if she could give him and his friends a tour of the renown vault where they keep the legendary weapons and artifacts.

Verena leads them to the massive vault room where she provides information on some of the prominent displays. One such item that caught everyone's attention was the Horn of Proteus. Legend says that the Horn can only be used by "the true son of Atlantis" and should only be used in "Atlantis' greatest hour of need." Verena says others have tried to blow the Horn but nothing happens or no sound comes out. Andromeda gathers Janus, Flehm, Dartanis and excuse themselves from the tour to rejoin the party. Andromeda gives a sly wink to Namor on her way out.

Namor and Verena talk privately in the veranda. Their conversation leads to Verena opening up about how she is considered by some to be "the chosen one" due to her strange birthmark. Some scholars are saying that she is destined to rule a mighty kingdom. She also confides that she lately feels that there is something malevolent inside her that's just crawling and scratching, trying to reach to the surface. She reckons it might just be wedding jitters. She also mentions how Khalen is very adamant about the specific date for their wedding.

Verena asks Namor what's up with his ankle wings. Namor guesses it's just a physical abnormality from being a hybrid. The wings don't do anything except cling to his skin. Namor says her mother used to tell him fairy tale stories about how she managed to save an old man one day and it turned out that old man happens to the wind deity Aeolus. As a reward, Aeolus tells Fen that her future son will be gifted with an extraordinary ability. And that's what Fen tells Namor on why he has ankle wings. Namor and Verena have a good chuckle at the story.

Namor shows Verena his newfound special ability. He spots a wandering pet fish and orders it to do all sorts of tricks. Verena is impressed and asks how is he doing this. Namor says he found out that he can sometimes order sea creatures to do his bidding. He started suspected it when he involuntary ordered the Gigan Crab to stop it from killing Verena. Ever since that incident, Namor has been practicing his new ability on small sea creatures.

Namor discloses to Verena on his fears, aspirations and love - namely a special someone that has stolen his heart (he says this while intently gazing at her). They kiss. Verena steps away saying she can't, she has obligations to her family and to Atlantis. For peace between the two warring kingdoms, she has to wed Prince Khalen. Her eyes swelling up, she tells Namor how she wished they would have met in another time and in another world. But in this one, it's not meant to be. She leaves Namor in the veranda.

Verana comes back to the veranda and gives Namor a gift package. Verena leaves again. Namor opens the package and inside is an iPad. [Note: This last paragraph did not happen]

    SCENE - THE STORM

A few days later, Namor's squad is out on a normal patrol outside Atlantis. They spot a dead surface dweller under water. Judging from the looks of it, he just died several minutes ago. Then they spot another dead surface dweller and another one. They investigate just below the surface of the water. There's a strong hurricane above and a container ship is sinking. Many of the ship's crew are on their emergency life rafts but the strong waves keep crashing into the life rafts toppling and drowning the crew.

Namor's squad leader tells the team there's nothing to see here, it's just humans drowning, no big loss. The squad prepares to turn back. Namor says they should help the humans. The squad leader reminds Namor that it is decreed that no merfolk is allowed to be seen by the surface dwellers or interact with them. The punishment for breaking this law is punishable by death. Namor's friends say they have no love for these surface dwellers and reasons with Namor to not intervene.

The squad turns around and swims back. Namor stops. He looks at the top. He can see the crew drowning and hear them yelling for help. The squad leader orders Namor to stand down. Namor clenches his fists...

Defying his squad leader's orders, Namor goes to the surface water and rescues the hapless sailors. He puts them back in their rafts and fights through the thunderous waves to safely tow the raft to the nearby coast guard boat. After Namor tows the third life raft to the coast guard boat, Namor goes to the sinking container ship and hears the cries for help. With his superhuman strength, Namor clears the debris and frees the trapped crew members. After Namor drops them off to the coast guard boat, the rescued crew members give their profound thanks to Namor. One of them managed to take a picture of Namor. Namor goes back underwater. A crew member comments that the dude is like a submariner.

Feeling a sense of satisfaction, Namor rejoins his squad. Namor asks where are half of the squad, specifically his friends. The squad leader says he sent them back to Atlantis. Namor is struck at the back of the head by one of his squad mate. A groggy Namor turns around and gets smack around a couple of times until he is unconscious.

    SCENE - JAIL

Namor wakes up in jail. He groans, "Not again?" He notices that his cell is heavily reinforced, probably taken into account Namor's ever-increasing strength.

    SCENE - ROYAL PALACE

The High Council is in session to decide the fate of Namor after his transgression. Counselor Meero asks for clemency in light of Namor's acts of services for Atlantis. Prince Vanzan rallies the already prejudiced council members into carrying out the law which is to implement the death penalty. Vanzan adds that Namor is becoming more and more popular with the public each day and Namor could potentially become disruptive to the government as he becomes more influential, not to mention his blood lineage makes him very dangerous to the monarchy. Many murmur in agreement with Vanzan.

Meero loses his cool and he is disgusted with the High Council. The Chancellor orders to Meero to be escorted out of the room. After Meero is gone, the Council decides that Namor will be executed on the same day as Princess Verena's wedding. To prevent a public outcry, they plan a ruse to make it look like extremists broke in the jail and killed Namor. It is settled, Namor will die tomorrow. The camera moves closer to Meero's empty chair and zooms in underneath the table. It's a tiny listening device planted by Meero before he left.

    SCENE - THE WEDDING

The wedding proceeds smoothly. After the priest is done with the solemnization ritual, Khalen and Verena perform a blood oath and are officially married. Hundreds of Lemurian delegates are in attendance. The festivities move on to the wedding reception. Prince Vanzan slinks away with a female party guest. Viscount Belarus visits the guards and the army stationed at the Palace and gives them a feast, thanking them for their services.

    SCENE - JAIL

A guard opens the back door at the jail, letting the assassins come in. A few of the corrupt jail guards say to the assassins to make it look believable. The assassins knock the guards unconscious. The assassins approach Namor's cell. Namor stands up, prepared for his fate. The hitmen aim their weapons at Namor when Janus, Flehm, Dartanis and Andromeda suddenly appear and kill the gunmen.

They free Namor. They explain that Meero told them what was going to happen. Namor thanks them but in helping him, they have forfeited their lives as well. They understand the consequences and stand by Namor. Namor is sincerely touched by this. He tells them they have to leave Atlantis now and that they can never come back.

    SCENE - WEDDING RECEPTION

At the wedding reception, Prince Khalen presents his new bride with a gift. It's a crown ornamented with seven coiled snakes. Before she could react, Khalen puts the Serpent Crown on her head. She suddenly feels very ill. She's convulsing. Her skin, becoming rough and a bit scalier, is slowly turning from blue to green. Her fingernails have grown and are sharper. Her overall appearance is now more serpent-like.

Just as Verena is experiencing this horror, many of the Atlantean wedding guests are dying from the poison food they ingested a few minutes ago. Those Atlanteans in present that were not poisoned are killed by the Lemurian attendees which managed to sneak in weapons at the event. The Atlantean guards are quickly eliminated by a wave of Lemurians that entered the room. The King and Queen have been spared.

Viscount Belarus reveals himself to be the mastermind of the betrayal. He snuck in the weapons for the Lemurians that attended the reception and allowed a battalion of Lemurian invaders to sneak in the city. He also reckons that many of the Atlantean guards and army are probably dead from the poisoned feast he gave them a while ago. Belarus has made a secret deal with the Lemurians. He helps them take over Atlantis and in return, Belarus will be the Governor-King of Atlantis. Belarus says it's utterly refreshing to be finally rid of his shallow yes-man persona he adopted over the years. He just wished that his idiot cousin Vanzan was here so he can kill him himself.

Prince Khalen explains to the King that Verena is indeed the chosen one but for the other side. She bears the mark of their one true leader that has been prophesied by Lemurian legends. That is why the wedding had to happen on this specific date. Khalen orders a still-dazed Verena to be sequestered in her room. He tells the King that this will soon be ove as a large Lemurian armada is headed for Atlantis.

    SCENE - FEN'S HOUSE

Namor alongside with his friends arrive at Fen's house to say goodbye. They barely get inside the house when the streets are filled with panic. Word has reached everywhere that the Palace is under siege and Lemurian invaders have taken over the city. Namor says he has to go back. His friends say they are with him all the way.

    SCENE - VERENA'S CHAMBERS

Khalen enters Verena's room. Even though she can feel herself struggling with the evil within, trying to take over, Verena defiantly tells Khalen that she will resist the darkness inside her. Khalen says it's a pity and orders the masked soldiers in full body armor to kill her as leaves and locks the room.

The masked attackers cuts Verena several times, which in turn makes her enraged. She succumbs to her bloodlust and kills all the masked soldiers in the room with her bare claws. After her bloodlust has been sated, she notices two of the dead soldiers have blue skin. She uncovers the head gears and is aghast to find out that it's her parents, the King and Queen, with their mouths and hands bound. Verena shrieks in horror and cries.

After a while, Khalen enters the room. He explains this was the last step in corrupting her, by making her kill the one she loves the most. With time, Verena will learn to unlock the powers of the Serpent Crown and become the most powerful being in the undersea. Khalen looks at Verena's face. Forever gone is the sweet, good-natured merwoman. The darkness has totally taken over as a sinister looking Verena laughs maniacally. Whatever shred of Verena's old persona that was fighting to survive has been erased, unable to live with the thought of killing her parents.

    SCENE - THE OUTER ZONE

Everybody in the Outer Zone are panicking and preparing to flee. Namor shouts to get the people's attention. He gives a rousing speech about how he has endured all sorts of humiliation and hardship just for being different. But underneath, he bleeds red just like the rest of the people. To the Capital, they are all treated the same, like dredge and filth to be cast aside. But Atlantis is still their home. Fen looks around and can see his son's words have moved the people. Namor calls upon the warrior sons and daughters of Atlantis to fight for their motherland. Namor shouts who will fight alongside him. The crowd erupts and shouts their support.

Namor spots Wesler among the crowd. He tells Wesler to give them access to the Factories and get weapons, armors for the militia. Namor says to Fen and his friends that the militia won't be enough to repel the invaders. He tells them to start the battle without him, he will join them shortly.

    SCENE - THE PALACE

Verena, Khalen and Belarus are leaving the palace to join the incoming Lemurian fleet. As they swam in the hallway, Meero appears from the corner and attacks them. Mheero manages to kill two of the guards and as he is about to strike Khalen, Verena blocks the attack. Verena stabs Meero, who is sadden to see what the Princess has become, and leaves him for dead.

    SCENE - CAPITAL STREETS

The Atlantis militia are battling the Lemurian invaders on the streets of the Capital. Even drill instructor "Bones" Rhandoo is spotted fighting the Lemurians. Janus, Flehm, Dartanis and Andromeda is fighting side by side with Fen. They are impressed how bad-ass Namor's mother is. But they also notice that they are losing the fight. These ragtag militia is no match for the well-organized and well-trained Lemurian invaders. The militia members are dying left and right. The last remaining group of the militia are all pinned down by the Lemurian phalanx and ready to be struck the final blow.

Just then, Namor arrives with an army of Gigan Crabs at his command. The Gigan Crab slices through the Lemurian phalanx with ease. The tide has turned and Namor rallies the troops to continue fighting.

    SCENE - ROYAL PALACE

Namor, along with Fen, Dartanis and Andromeda, goes straight to the Palace. They discover the Palace is in shambles with a lot of dead Atlanteans. Namor tries to find Verena. A severely wounded Counselor Meero catches Namor up to what happened in the Palace. Verena has left the city with Khalen and Belarus. Meero tells Namor that a large Lemurian armdada is heading to Atlantis. Meero tells Namor to get the Horn of Proteus from the Vault. Fen stays behind to accompany a dying Meero.

When Namor arrives at the massive vault room, he is surprised to find Prince Vanzan holed up inside with fifty Royal Guards by his side. Namor says there is a battle happening outside and implores Vanzan and the Royal Guards to join the fight. The cowardly Vanzan refuse and further refuse to let go of his Royal Guards. Namor is disgusted with Vanzan. Namor looks at the Royal Guard, including the head of the Royal Guards, who look away ashamed since they have no choice but to follow Vanzan's orders. Namor takes the Horn of Proteus and leaves.

SCENE - OUTSIDE THE BORDERS OF ATLANTIS

After defeating the Lemurians inside the Captial, Namor and the rest of the Atlanteans go to the border of Atlantis to witness the massive Lemurian armada arriving. Namor sees Verena, Khalen and Belarus on top of one of the war vessels. Atlantis' outer defenses are all inoperable thanks to Belarus' sabotage. Namor and his army are the only thing standing between the invaders and Atlantis.

Namor holds the Proteus Horn. He doesn't even know if it will work or even believe in the legend or know what will happen even if it's true. Regardless, Namor blows the horn repeatedly. It makes a loud, thunderous sound that can be heard for miles. Others who heard the ominous brooohm sound felt like they were in a Hanz Zimmer trailer.

After several awkward seconds, nothing happens. Verena orders the Lemurian armada to proceed with the attack. The battle rages on. Namor manages to destroy several of the war ships but there's just too many of them. The Atlanteans are being massacred. Namor witnesses Flehm and Dartanis killed. Namor is wounded and goes down. Janus and Andromeda rush to Namor's side to form a barricade.

An exhausted and wounded Namor stands up ready to fight. Khalen orders the troops to target Namor and prepare to fire. Behind Namor, there's a small object swimming towards them and it's getting bigger and bigger every second. Everybody, Atlantean and Lemurians alike, is astonished in what they are witnessing. It's a colossal sea monster (Giganto) that's roughly 400 feet in size. Giganto starts destroying the Lemurian fleet. It shrugs off the Lemurian attacks like they were nothing. Khalen's ship goes down.

The Atlanteans cheer and press on the advantage. Namor tries to join the attack but can't move forward due to his injuries. Namor feels an excruciating pain as he is struck by a sword from behind. It's Khalen and Belarus. They reckon if they kill the Proteus Horn wielder, the monster will return back to where it came. Khalen and Belarus are excellent swordsmen and are more than enough to kill an injured Namor.

Namor is struggling against the both of them. Namor continues to get cut and stabbed. Khalen goes in for the killing blow. Namor counters it with the same move he performed during their swordfighting contest in the Palace a few weeks ago. Khalen counteracts it smugly, saying he learns from his mistakes... but Namor executes another maneuver that cuts off Khalen's arm. Namor yells "Imperius Rex!" before decapitating Khalen.

Catching his third wind, Namor eventually defeats Belarus. Namor tries to finish off Belarus but Verena comes between them. Even with her new dark persona, Namor can't bring himself to strike Verena. This gives Belarus a chance to escape. Verena follows suit after a few seconds.

What remains of the Lemurian armada retreats. The Atlanteans cheer for their hard-fought victory. A visibly injured Giganto swims away back to where it came from.
