Holy shit can someone give me some tips on how to beat jasper.
*If this is your first fight with Jasper ignore my tips below:
I just beat him with stronger monsters on. Here's the crazy thing. I fought him once knowing I would have to grind more levels just so I could get an idea of what I'm going to be dealing with. I get him all the way down to red health. I think oh shit I can beat him now, I try like 8 more times never get him down that low (yellow was the lowest) and decide to give up.
I go to mangelrove way and start grinding levels. I grind 7 levels worth, I think now he's fucked. I go back and no kidding he's still fucking me up pretty bad but I'm more consistent in getting him down to red\yellow. Eventually with enough good RNG I beat him.
My tips:
- Equip some anti dark magic equipment it helps a bit. I only used one for my main 4 characters. The more the better.
- You'll need two healers and one of them has to be Serena with Kazing. Jasper will kill someone it's guaranteed. Use Serena to revive and your other healer to multiheal. MC or Hendricks to top anyone off.
- He summons a friend sometimes right away and sometimes not until the end it's random as hell this is basically good RNG you need here. Use Sylvando's pied piper to charm the monster and he will attack the boss as well. I tried killing this monster but it's not worth it he just summons him right back. If he summons the monster at the beginning of battle I honestly would probably just give up and hope for better RNG next fight.
My characters were level 54-55. I had the MC with greatswords, Hendricks with Greatswords. I don't use S+S with Hendricks but I'm thinking maybe I should go back to that now that I can fill up more of his trees and it might be more viable now.
I'm on the first fight when he captures Erik. I probably just need to level up because all my characters are around 15-16.
Ah ok yea just level up he wasn’t to tough once I leveled up.
Pisses me off cause I had a good thing going with Erik. I'd put em to sleep and then do his other move where he hits sleeping enemies for 6x the damage.
Yea I was lucky in that my team wasn't using Erik at this point. In fact I've just started making changes to bring him back into the team for the final boss. Apparently if you set him up right he does more damage than anyone by far and is supposed to be the most OP character.
Yeah my strategy got btfo due to Erik being out. Meh, I'll have to farm xp. Should I just keep fighting the guards for xp?
That's what I did fight guards, sleep at inn when I needed to.
The Slime Quest stuff is the wooorst. If you want to maximize profit, poker is the only way. Max bet, and when you win always double up. Just click the first card, after extensive testing I've decided the game doesn't really care which card you pick, it's just a %. Don't feel bad when the cards flip over, it's just optics for a RNG roll. First double up is about 80%, second is 70ish, third is when you hit 50/50 territory. Ergo, on small wins I'll always double up 1-3 times, and even on big wins I'll double up 1-2 times depending on if I need the money.Holy fuck the casino shit is boring. The first one was worth it on PC since you can just use an auto-clicker on the slots and sleep your way to 50 billion coins.
But getting the jackpot on the roulette table? Fuuuuck that. Spent three hours trying to get it and finally gave up. Guess I wont be getting the side quest achievement since that will be number 4 I missed and you can only miss 3 and still get it.
I leveled up a few times and used the jester to buff hero and wrecked shop with the great sword. Just finished up the mermaid arc.
So far the spider has been the toughest boss fight for me. Pretty sure I was under leveled because it went down to the wire and only had one party member left alive.
This game makes me happy that I switched to the PS4. It's the best game I've played in a very long time. I need to get into more jrpgs.

Are you using the stronger monster option? That's what I used and the game got pretty tough for me during the sand worm and on. One of the bosses you're very close to fighting is going to make you want kill yourself. Although you have your MC with a greatsword already and I didn't which held me back a ton on that fight.
Yea I did the casino shit in order to beat one of the bosses in this game I was having trouble with. Everyone says the slots are the best but I found the poker table to be the better option. Once you win you get a double or nothing option where you just have to pick a higher card than the PC. I would always pick the card directly to the right of the card the PC picked and it was like 80% chance to get up to 8,0000 coins from there. Past that it was all risk. Did that for an hour and got the two weapon I wanted and left.
I don't think I'm using the harder monster option. I plan on turning all those options on when I beat the game. Shew I couldn't imagine that spider boss being any harder because hed wrap me up and confuse me for what felt like forever.
Just beat the game. 93 hours did no side quest really except like 2. Act 3 I used pep pip and got everyone to 99. One fight I saw my characters go up 7 levels. Went straight to last boss and smashed him.

Fuck dude. I can't get passed the skeleton boss in the king's throne room. I keep getting BTFOd because of Hendrick playing like a damn can.
