Well I'm hearing that the combat is pretty good, but that the writing is just awful. I've heard some clips and while I'm sure there's a bit of cherry picking, the stuff I'm seeing is really embarrassing.

Whatever, that's harmless. I can enjoy a game even if it's cringe. The really bad part was BioWare sending out DMCAs to people who were criticizing what they saw and played.

female villains and heroes exist in 40k lore so its no biggie as do characters of other racial background since its all of humanity going up against whatever galaxy throws (white scar space marines are all basically mongolian as example) so all fits the world game takes place in

Sexuality though is not a thing in 40k since life sucks and no one fucks and would raise eyebrows if in a game it was brought up

For those who are asking "Is it woke?"



Look at the tags used to classify the game on Steam by EA/Bioware.

And believe it or not, I respect them for actually doing that. Wish that could be done with physical releases putting 'DEI & LGBTQ+' on the game box.

Bet most would figure using those tags would harbor games sales, and they're probably correct, but EA/Bioware did it anyway. Respect to them for not trying to deceive their customer base in that respect.

I just did the intro but enjoyed the combat.

To be fair he was talking about everyone that lives there. If you think every single person is a terrorist you’ve been brainwashed. Anthony Bourdain actually has an episode in that location and the people were super friendly and just like everyone else they were just trying to provide a good life for their families. Hamas is shit but Asmongold took it a step too far to make a blanket statement about the entire population. Big difference imo but I agree that there’s a double standard when it comes to Hasan and others so at least I’m fair.

Did you play DAI? I'm really interested to see what they do with the Solis story line since I thought that was great in DAI.

As for Asmongold, I don't know his views on anything, I just don't like his voice, face, cadence and general tone in any content that I've seen him in .

I could add, the hair is way better than previous Bioware games. That part of character creation is much better.

I'll get deeper in this weekend but it's fun as a rogue so far

Story seems fine but I am just past the opening catastrophe fight, so I'm not sure how it will go.
