Has there ever been an attempt to bring Dr. Who to the big screen? I know series has
been going on for quite awhile never seen it but a lot people love it so I'am curious If they
tried to make a movie of it.
 
Don't think so. It's popularity is based on its low budget niche appeal imo
 
The Christmas special from last year had special screenings in some theatres. My brother tried to buy tickets but they sold out right away where I live.
 
Yes, there have been a few.There were a few dalek ones and a movie in 96.
 
There have been a few made-for-tv Dr. Who movie specials, including the 50th anniversary one that aired in the theaters late last year.

I am not a Dr. Who fan, but I HIGHLY recommend watching the movie below (aired on TV and was OnDemand last time I checked). It's a mock documentary about the making of the Dr. Who series. Brilliant and incredible unique work:

They hardly succeed to bring it on the small screen these days.
