UFC didn't want an old guy near the title who had no push. UFC can't even push MM, let alone an old Aussie. Purposful matchup to make sure he couldn't work for a title. No surprise and so unfortunate to watch.

Definitely a horrible matchup - when Kelly loses it usually by blitzing fast paced strikers (Wescott, Alvey and Brunson are prime examples of this). That said, Kelly would have lost to any of the top 10 via strikes. The Rashad fight was perfect for him because Rashad is a name and is a very timid low volume striker.
