Asked about specific names who’ve asked for him, Swanson mentioned Doo Hoo Choi – the 25-year old Korean prospect who beat his three UFC opponents with thundering first-round knockouts. Choi’s most recent win was over Brazilian veteran Thiago Tavares – who, curiously enough, had also cited Swanson as someone he’d like to fight.
Though not particularly enthused with the matchup against “The Korean Superboy,” Swanson relegates the decision to the UFC.
“I know there are some other younger guys that’ve been calling me out,” Swanson said. “But whomever the UFC wants me to fight, I’ve never had great success picking my opponents. (Choi) looks good. He’s a good kid, but it is what it is. He wants to make his name off me. If that’s the fight the UFC wants to give that’s on them.”
