Doo Ho Choi couldn’t make it to the top 15 featherweight fighters even though he crushed Thiago Tavares with a precisely placed shot, earning his third straight win inside the Octagon. He said he had expected to be at the eleventh or twelfth spot in the rankings. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find his name on the list.
Doo Ho Choi thinks that the most formidable opponent is not Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor, Frankie Edgar, Max Holloway, or Chad Mendes but “English”. When asked about having interviews in English from now on for promoting himself to the MMA fans and the UFC management, he replied, “For me, speaking English is more difficult than becoming a champion.”
My question:
What is his proper spot in the featherweight rankings? I want to hear from you guys on this.
