When a journalist showed Nate an old picture of him, his brother and his sister, he went emotional. I'm quoting :
"We were like third grade or second grade here. It’s crazy," he said, his eyes misting over. "Man we grew up in poverty, in the ghetto, just a really s----y environment. Like right here, we lived in a hotel. Us and my mom, just living in a hotel."
They did not have an easy childhood but sticked together. I remember a moving speech from Nick (yes that happens sometimes) after he got suspended, where he somehow said how much he cared about his bro, and how angry he felt letting him alone in the fighting business. He said something like "i put him in this situation from the beginning, i introduced him to MMA, i have to get us out of this mess"
I personnally find all this quite inspiring and i feel happy Nate finally got a ibig payday and recognized for who he really is : an elite fighter. Behind all their gangsta shit attitude, they seem like chill dudes.
