Don't ever doubt T-Wood again. Best WW of all time

I also don't understand this prime GSP thing. He's about one year older than Tyron, has four or five more fights, and is much more rested due to his log layoff. Athletically, Tyron is just as out of his prime as GSP is. This isn't some young gun facing a deteriorated legend.

Prime isn't *perfectly* correlated to age or even number of fights, because the ebb-and-flow of natural talent, athletic ability, acquired and practiced skills, etc...is not the same for each fighter. Some fighters decline more slowly, some can offset athletic declines by improvements in technical ability (Werdum is a somewhat good example), etc...

Moreover, fighters enter the sport at different times. GSP started his career in 2002 at age 21. Woodley in 2009 at age 27.

The best version of GSP all things considered was probably around 2008 to 2009.

The best version of Woodley is probably right now, or at least in the very, very recent past.

GSP's rise, peak/prime, and decline is fairly typical of an athlete.

Woodley's is somewhat abnormal because of when he entered the sport, almost certainly being deficient in certain skills when he first started in his late 20s, etc...

Lmao keep taking these L's dude. Your stat contradicts the one I posted which is of EVERY ufc fighter, not just Chad. Which one do you think they update more frequently? Probably the one that involves everyone right? Lmao. 97.6% is the best TDD with over 20 attempts by opponents, mysteriously Chad doesn't make the top 10 even with his supposed 100% TDD Lmao. There's a couple of things we could conclude from this. 1) All the stats are wrong. 2) Chad's stats haven't been updated 3)He's ineligible because there's been less than 20 attempts on him. The way fight metric measure TDD though, Tyron is the king. Dispute that if you want but like they say, men lie, women lie, numbers don't.
Skewed stats lie. "Minimum of 20 TD attempts." That is a skewed stat.

Chad Mendes had guys shoot for TDs on him numerous times in his UFC fights and some good wrestlers at that. He has 100% TDD.

He's had like 13-15 successful TDDs instead of 20. Some bum in his next fight could shoot 5 TDs and not get them and then you'd accept it because he's now allowed to also be on their skewed stat instead of a true stat. Anyone can skew a stat to be in any favour they wish. You lose. 100% is still higher than 93%. When you learn grade 1 math, we can have another discussion. Thank you now, bye bye then!

Skewed stat or not that's the metric for how TDD is measured, always has been. I'll humor you for a second. How many people with one fight do you think would have had only say one or two take downs attempted on them? Now assuming they defend both of these take downs, they'd end up with 100% TDD right? Does this tell us anything of significance? No it doesn't hence the need for a meaningful data range.
