i dont care about getting ripped anymore, i just wanna build size and strength. Compounds are the only moves ill do along with calve raises and standing bi curls. But what should the routine be? full body workouts 3 times a week?

deads, squats, chinups, military presses, benches, cleans from the hang will be my only real movements.

how should i split these up during the week? or can i do them all in one session- 3 times a week? what do u guys think?

Rippetoes starting strength sounds like it's for you. Combined with GOMAD or other big calorie intake. Don't know about your numbers though so you must decide if you need a novice or intermediate routine.

This Question is Frequently Asked, and as such it has been pre-answered for you by means of a clever system utilising the fact that information pertaining to Frequently Asked Questions can be collected in a pre-made document. This document exists as a post that is always on the very top of the contents board - almost as if it were stuck there. As if somehow sticky.

Also, nobody on this board cares about looking ripped, so you've come to the right place!

What, no love for Rows, GMs, GHR, or unilateral lower body exercises like lunges or step-ups? Certainly much more worthwhile than calf raises.

The first time I ever did GHR was when I was on vacation in Scotland. It was for three weeks, so I wanted gett some strength work in, just for maitenance. The lower body work was mostly pistols, hill sprints, and GHRs. I did the GHRs by tucking my ankles under my uncle's armchair (he had to be sitting in the chair while I did this).

I used to to them like that (ankles under couch, yoga mat under knees). My kneecaps don't appreciate those anymore!

What's so funny meow? Do I look like a cat jumping all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree?

You can do GHRs in the latpulldown station.

FWIW - my gym as a GHR and reverse hyper and monolift.
