Maybe. He's definitely the most proven fighter in the division. It's a shame Khabib vs Ferg fell through. Khabib vs Ferg will still happen if Khabib wins. However if Conor wins we might never see this fight or maybe 1-2 years down the line. 2 years is better than never, right?
