He's got more than enough size and reach for 185 - and while I'm not advocating he break any USADA rules, he could see to it that the extra 15 pounds would be all muscle and all power.

And I'm sure that quite a few of you think he could definitely beat Bisping! LOL

WTF? No, these aren't height classes.

Cannot imagine matches like Cowboy vs Rockhold or Cowboy vs Weidman

they just seem huge in comparison

Maybe one time. See what happens.

But, you can already see he has a ceiling around #6 or so at welterweight. I'd imagine his ceiling and his margin of error bein much lower at 185.

I mean I doubt he would be able to do a whole lot with guys like Romero and Rockhold. But who knows.

Nah, I think WW is the right home for him. He should fight Gunny next, and if he wins, he and Lawler should rematch on an FS1 or Fox card to make it five rounds instead of just 3.

he's lost 2 in a row at 170 and you want him to go fight guys that are bigger?

hahahahahaha

His best weight and wins are at LW.

He's way too small. He's a big LW and small WW.

Foolish assessment. Did you see how Gastelum got rag dolled against a top MW? Cerrone would get mauled.

Come one.. Cowboy baloons hismself up to 176lbs or something.

He should go on a full Hendricks diet and training regime in order to make 185.

The list of fighters who have won UFC fights in three different weight classes is not that long, you know.

His reach doesn't play a factor cause he fights short to protect his body. He's also a fairly skinny guy by default and doesn't even have enough muscle for 170lbs. He could do some damage if he went diving to the bottom of the MW division, but TOP 10-15 would be a shitshow.

Also, a little over a year ago - he was a TOP 5 lightweight and in 2nd place to replace RDA for the Conor fight. Opportunities and championship fights were coming, just needed him to stay persistent. Instead he ventured off to WW. And now what? He'll venture off to MW? Just pick something and drive it home. If you actually want an achievement, that is. If he's just a long for the ride, then fuck it, of course. Just cruise along and enjoy the ride.

To me he already looked like a twig compared to Lawler.

It would be fun to see against some of the older strikers though like Anderson or Machida. He might also be able to compete with Rashad at this point.

Then there are also the blown up WWs in that division like Lombard, Gastelum, Hendricks, even Whittaker.

You have to think a little deeper than that.

170 weight class to 185 weight class, those are just divisions.

15 lbs of muscle,...not gonna happen. Give him a long time off to train very carefully and make sure he can support that extra muscle, perhaps, but he walks at a little below 180 or so already? Let him gain single digit lbs and then fight light....

But this whole exercise would turn out to be a sham anyway. He'd have the thousand yard stare after the first punch from a Middleweight lands.
