News Donald Cerrone removed from LW rankings; Drew Dober replaces him

Yea no issue there.

Not that I put much stock in UFC Rankings or any individual sites rankings. Top 5-10 is pretty much throwing darts in many ways.

Hi Ackmed,

Islam did well against Dober. Hopefully he gets a good step up and we can see how he matches up with the top guys.

I wish they had given him Kevin Lee instead. Maybe Gregor or his opponent will get the call up next. He needs a fight around the 7-12 mark next.

He shouldn't have been ahead of Dober on the LW rankings to begin with.

Before Dober vs Islam, Dober was on a 3-fight KO streak all within one year, while Cowboy was on a 4 loss and 1 NC steak, almost none of which were even at LW.

It took 5 losses and 1 NC in his last six to finally drop below Dober.

All because he's "Cowboy", rough around the edges persona, drinks beer etc. :rolleyes:
 
unfortunately, popularity, star power and recognition definitely play a role in rankings. it's not purely talent and results. cowboy hasn't been to 15 in a long time
 
Cerrone should not be in the rankings anyway. Winless in 5 of his last 6 fights, means you should not be in any
top 15 ranking.

Actually dober was ranked #15 above cowboy, then chandler won, then dober lost, then Al was removed and cowboy somehow got ranked.

Cowboy seems like one of those guys they will force into retirement, not cut.
