If by “warm up fight” you mean beating a top 5 guy to earn a title shot...then yeah he needs a warm up fight.

Cruz getting the winner of TJ/Cody and skipping over Marlon would be one of the biggest jokes of the WME era.

I still want to see him face Rivera, let moraes have a crack at the winner of Dillashaw/Cody and the loser face Dom (if he gets past Jimmie)
 
I think Moraes has passed him, and deserves the winner of TJ/Cody 2. Give Cruz someone like Rivera, or if Assuncao gets out of 226 relatively unscathed maybe he would be ready.
 
Ufc should do Cruz vs Linekar, Dodson or Rivera for a comeback fight. If he wins give him a title shot, assuming he's still healthy.
