Some fighters should take a page out of Conor McGregor's showmanship. Others should stay silent and respectful like Cain or Machida. The thing that makes the UFC interesting is that you have a mix of personalities.

I agree with Dominick, and Chael did the same thing before Conor.

You are mistaking fighting ability with sportsmanship. If Barao spoke English fluently and was as outspoken as Conor, then he would be much more known.

Agreed, but overall, being outspoken usually leads to more interest in the grand scheme of things.

I don't like McGregor, but Cruz has always struck me as one of the smartest guys in the game. I like most all the guys, but when Cruz gives a prefight breakdown, I listen.

It depends on the fighters personality. They can only be who they are.

I agree. Also, Dominick can predict fights very well.

Strange comment from Dom considering he's not exactly a showman himself, but then again, we haven't seen his in-ring persona in years. Maybe he's been working on a new gimmick this entire time.

I think the quiet humble karate master role works pretty well for Machida. Not so sure about Cain though. Cain isn't very popular for how much of a beast he is. He doesn't come off like the very quiet, humble nice guy like Machida to me. More like an unsocial rage monster who wants to destroy everything lol.
