He was fighting a much bigger, longer guy. He was dominating for nearly 2 rounds! He didn't have a full camp to concentrate on his opponent. Then he gassed and made a mistake. He still wins that fight 8 times out of 10.



So yeah; Conor won. But Mendes is still be the better fighter.

Scar tissue has led you to believe he dominated that fight. Re-watch the second round, from 3:30 to 1:30, Nate was kicking his ass. Nate would do the same at 155. Weight difference was the difference my ass.

He definitely won the first, but he wasn't winning or dominating the second round at all. Nate had him on his bicycle most of the second round and made him shoot for a takedown because he was getting wrecked on his feet.

I can't help but feel this is what TS saw from Connor's nuts. The fight was extremely close, and you can see/feel the momentum shift shortly into round two. Midway through Connor had a punchers chance and that's being optimistic even.

8/10 times are you serious? Do people even beat the Diaz brothers toe to toe? That's just how Nate wins fights.. His fucking chin and that 1-2. Nate would still hit Conor and Conor was obviously struggling with a guy with little more reach.
Conor was winning 2 rounds sure but what if it goes later rounds? Conor cardio is suspect he was tired in mendes fight too.

Nate all day after round 4 . Conor 8/10 times is bullshit.
