Social Doing a 180, republicans now believe math is racist.

In a "transparent" process where no examples were provided 41% of math books were banned for... reasons.
They were for providing or pushing CRT have you seen the fine label?

The Florida Department of Education announced it has rejected dozens of math textbooks submitted by publishers for schools, saying they "contained prohibited topics" including critical race theory.
Why are some math books pushing CRT? i heard from a parent that in a English book for kids they are pushing the 2020 social protests in some texts of pages.

Why? its a English class not a social class, historical class.

Show me examples of CRT in the books banned.

Textbooks? I assume individual districts will just use math curriculum websites like IXL or ALEKS.

Or, just find worksheets from KUTA

I don’t get all this hate for CRT. When flatscreen monitors came out they were such a downgrade from CRT. They took 1 step forward but 2 steps back. CRT monitors had better refresh rates, response times, color contrast, you name it they were better monitors than early LCDs and plasmas by a light year in every tech spec aspect. People were willing to take a massive dump in their screen quality just to save some desk space. What idiotic priorities

CRT screens to this day are still the best way to do retro gaming.

fuck critical racist against white people theory tho.

It’s your thread, aren’t you suppose to do that? The implication of the whole thread is unclear, what is your point? You think they’re lying about the textbooks being rejected for having CRT in them? You think they were rejected for another reason? Put a little work into the OP.

Why are you defending CRT?
If there is any reason why democrats are in trouble its because of their current social polices and CRT is not popuarl.

I'm not defending CRT. I'm pointing out how ridiculous the clowns in the GOP are. They didn't even name the banned books or provide any evidence for their decisions.

Our forum Democrats are saying that banning this is problematic and anti-math…

Of course, we all know they don’t literally believe that. They’re just staggeringly dishonest in their attempts at sweeping their own (growing) lunatic contingency under the rug.

Well you could read the article. You don't have any problem with "transparent" review processes that don't name the books banned nor provide any evidence for why they were banned?

It's the reviewers who claim CRT that need to provide the evidence....Jesus fucking Christ do Republicans not understand you can't prove a negative?

There are no math books anywhere being taught to kids that push CRT.

Florida Republicans have zero transparency on this so they can lay the ground work to ban books they don’t like. Especially if it teaches children proper history. They don’t want that

Fail thread title. Misrepresentative and false.

The contention is that CRT is racist (which it is), not math.

They do not want racism being injected into math lessons, and for good reason.

Then why don't they provide any evidence?

Probably had math problems like “If Jonnie has two testicles and one penis removed and adds 3 weekly treatments of hormone replacement therapy, what is she/they?”
Then why don't they provide any evidence?
