I came across this video where they experimented with a few dogs to see if the dogs would protect their owners if said owners were assaulted. Needless to say.. the dogs bolted out of the door to safety while their owners were being torn apart lol.

I would kick my dog to the curb (if I owned one) if he failed this experiment. Imagine taking care of and pampering a dog only to find out he cares more about his well-being than your life. The 1st lady even screams her dogs name several times in desperation. Fend for yourself then you ungrateful bastard.

So dog owners... would your dog pass this experiment and protect you... or would he bolt for the door?

you ever think not all dog breeds are supposed to be rough and tough house protectors?

They can at least give a shit while you're being killed. Bark or something.
lol true. at least bark haha. Little shit Havanese dog next door barks at every single person even knocking on the door.

No way.

My bulldog probably wouldn’t even wake up. The mastiff would eat you.

The only thing my dog would do is lay on the floor and maybe the guy would trip on him.

One time I got into a heated argument with my father, and his shih tzu, a puppy at the time, had his back. It tried to bite me when I raised my voice.

Saw this Friday, when I should've been working. That shit was funny. Labs are pretty docile to wards humans, I've read.

Current dog is really more my mom's. I basically paid for her to be rescued/transported and she's like her support dog. She does bark and get worked up. We just moved, and I came home and she ran up when I came through the door, twice. Once, I saw some hesitation in her eyes - but it doesn't mean she wasn't going to bite.
She's got lab in her like the first two dogs, but she's also got shepherd and some chow, so she might handle business. I have doubts, though. She's a big time cuddle bug.

Our dog growing up was half chow and half shepherd (belgian shepherd, I'm pretty sure). She was friendly, too - bjt she didn't fuck around, imo. Much more than the family dog now, she had the heart of a chow chow. She chased my homies back in the day because somebody made a weird sound when they first walked up. She would watch carefully early on, and if they tried to get cute, she'd go off barking.
Also, if we play-wrestled, she think ig was a conflict, and she would try to regulate with light bites and barking. If she would try to keep a family/pack member from trippin, I think a stranger would've gotten that work.
Still miss the hell out of that dog.

Also, here's a test of Tibetan Mastiffs

I also have a husky.

He'd just jump on the would-be robber and try to get them to play.

Now that's a fucking dog. Does that lady in the vid own those dogs... or is that breed of dog programmed to help random victims?

My 75lb German Shepard attacked my gf when we tried to have sex on the couch lol

Lol at the two little dogs being actual protectors, while the two big ones pussed out.

I bet those little ones got some jack russell in their mix

I don't actually know. It seems like it could be testing or training from looking at it. Apparently those dogs won't back down if they think there's a threat, even if their owner tells them to, so maybe that's part of training for them, as they're already naturally protective.

The yelling and screaming was funny to me.
But those dogs are supposedly expensive as fuck (some commenter said second most expensive dog of all) - so that lady may be rich as fuck, or a breeder or trainer with the guy(s) acting as attackers.

My dog has already defended my sister so, there’s that.

I don’t really need my pets to defend me though. I just think it’s sweet when I’m crying and they comfort me. I’m like thanks buddy xx

Strange, I wouldn't imagine dogs would be so passive/cowardly.

I think mine would because we were at a dog park and large, hyperactive German Shepherd ran toward me and she instinctively positioned herself in front of me.

My dog is a little softie, doesn't come up to my knee, but he's pretty long.

Still, little dude goes to bat for me, everytime he sees someone he doesn't like on our walks.

My dog is scared of her own shadow and is super submissive to me. She'd expect me to protect her hell it'd probably be pretty odd to her to see me get beaten down.
