If you had to give up your dog or your car which one would you give up? You cannot buy another car until the dog(s) passes.

For cat people cat or car? But I am more curious about dogs as they are slightly more useful to humans than cats.

I don't have a dog, so...

I'm actually an emotional support human for a dog. Technically it would only hurt the dog to end that relationship so there's really not a reason to give up either.

I spent a stupid amount of money on a shiny new Porsche and I absolutely love it.

That being said, I would cover it in fuel and burn it to the ground without a second thought rather than lose my dogs.

Slightly?
  • Assistance dog[4] trained to help a disabled person in some way, such as guiding a visually impaired person, opening doors or alerting to a ringing phone.
  • Carriage dog[5] historically used to provide protection to carriage passengers or merchandise
  • Detection dog[4] or sniffer dog, trained to detect for example drugs or land mines. Some detection dogs even learn to detect cancer, abnormal blood sugar levels, certain types of insects (such as bed bugs), or even animal feces.
  • Draught dog[6] traditionally used to pull dog carts
  • Guard dog[6] used to protect buildings or livestock
  • Guide dog[4]
  • Herding dog[6]
  • Military working dog[7] trained in combat, or used scouts, sentries, messengers, mercy dogs, and trackers
  • Search and rescue dog[4] These highly trained animals serve in many different fields, including tracking, specialized search, avalanche rescue, and cadaver location.
  • Service dog[4]
  • Sled dog[8]
  • Therapy dog[4] used to provide companionship or to help people rehabilitate from injuries
  • Water Rescue
Newfoundlands are powerful dogs that love the water, so when properly trained, they make the ideal water rescue canines. The dogs will swim out to an individual in trouble and grab them with their large (but gentle) mouths and help them safely back to the shore. Their training teaches them how to recognize an unconscious swimmer and how to handle these situations as well.
  • Hunting and Flushing
Various types of dogs have been used for hunting with humans. Sight hounds use the method of “coursing” – running down their prey and killing it swiftly, while scent hounds can trail game for long periods of time usually leaving the kill to the hunter. Setters and Spaniels will flush game from brush, allowing the hunter acces
  • Runway Wildlife Control
A Border Collie named K-9 Piper had an important job to do at the airport in Traverse City, Mich.: he kept wildlife off the runways, which is federally required by the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan. One of only 10 such working dogs in the country, K-9 Piper’s task was to chase away rodents and the birds of prey they attract from the airport. He also made routine perimeter checks.
  • Lobster Catchers
Along with his serious job of conserving sea turtles, Alex Schulze has trained his two Labrador Retrievers, Lila and Maverick, to swim down to 15 feet deep to catch lobsters on the ocean floor. It took Schulze almost two years to teach the dogs how to swim that deep, and now a fresh lobster dinner is only a dive away. He uses any proceeds from the dogs’ endeavors to promote sea turtle conservation work.

I dont have either.

You aint really a worthwhile person,to give up a dog over your car tho. Figure it out.

My car, obviously. Anyone who gives up their pet for any reason, other than maybe someone else they give it to being able to provide it a better home, is a piece of shit.
Agreed. Neutering your pets makes you a bigger piece of shit too.

Give up my car for sure. A dog is unconditional love and therapeutical.

Give up the dog easily. But i also dont have any pets, so i dont need to make that decision.
